Pretty good for a debut. I like this album. Although it's pretty inconsistent, Kendrick made something good. Keisha's Song and HiiiPower are two of my fav songs by Kendrick, also Hol' Up is a bop.
Bitch, I can make "Orange" rhyme with "Banana"
Bornana
Eating pork rinds, sword fightin' in pajamas
At the crib, playin' Fortnite with your grandma
This Reissue adds some decent / good songs. Lots of corny lines on this Reissue, Em should've left the album at where it was. Although it's definitely underrated, why people hating on this?
This is actually really good, when you realize Eminem's last albums were Kamikaze and Revival this is a step in the right direction, will Eminem revive his career or will he just fail all over again? Only time will tell and in my opinion, so far he's starting to revive it.
Imagine listening to this and thinking its funny, fr the least funny song that tried to be funny. It's a banger but at the same time it isn't, sorry if you listen to this song, but I declare you a non-functioning member of society.
This shit is shit. Only songs I could see listening to sometimes (on very rare occasions) : Walk On Water (But it's still kinda bad), Castle and Arose (really sad). He really fell off. Chloraseptic is probably one of my least fav songs I've ever listened to, it sounds so bad like Em actually forgot how to make music. Only reason i didn't give it an 8 is cause of the last songs being somewhat good.
Do I have to name more reasons why I gave this the rating I gave it?
When I first listened to this album, I had low expectations and wow. This album definitely didn't disappoint but why is Eminem singing on some songs? It sounds so bad. Although this is a big step up from Recovery lmao.
The 1st few songs I heard I hated this album, but as it went on it got better, however it's still not good. It has good songs and bad songs, although there are definitely more bad songs. The only songs I like are Going Through Changes, Not Afraid, No Love, Space Bound and Love The Way You Lie
This album is amazing for a debut album. This album has great consistency, I find this album pretty crazy, I find a lot of the songs are good, and I mean really good. I love this album ngl.
This is a underrated album, have no idea why both scores are 60. This album features lots of Eminem's best songs like "Deja Vu", "We Made You" and "Beautiful". I love how you can tell Em was in a dark place during this album. Relapse is the last time we hear of Slim Shady and it's a good way to end. This album had some of Eminem's best word plays and flows. This album is really good, it's also the first album I've listened to by Eminem.
Cracker Island has some bangers, some bad songs but honestly I find most of the songs good and this album is honestly not that bad, it features songs like "Cracker Island", "Skinny Ape", "Silent Running" and "New Gold". This album is decent ngl.
This album is alright, most of the songs are decent. And Momentary Bliss exists so it's a easy rating for me.
Good album, not a masterpiece, just really good. Don't know why half of the Gorillaz fans are hating on it, I personally don't think it's that bad, people who hate this album are probably just nostalgic over the old Gorillaz days, which I don't find bad. It's just this album is good and I hate the hate against it. Ok but Hollywood is trash though, why did they put Snoop Dogg on that song :(
Not that good ngl is what I would say, but honestly it totally represents 2-D going insane. This album is mid, most of the songs on it are horrible or bad, but let's not forget about the good songs. (ahem ahem California and the Slipping of the Sun, probably one of the most underrated Gorillaz songs) This album is alright.
Most of the songs are good, 68 State sounds like the theme of a video game, People is kinda bad ngl, We Are Happy Landfill is the best goofy song I've ever heard, Rockit is bad in a good way, Murdoc Is God is my fav metal song and Stop The Dams is a great way to end it. Also the remixes are pretty nice as well, really good album overall.
(Edited Review)
98 -> 99
This is a nearly perfect album and that's why I love it. Sweepskates is absolutely underrated and I really recommend you to check it out cause it's also probably one of my fav albums by Gorillaz. Nothing much more to say other than I don't really like Rhinestone Eyes cause of Tik Tok but it is what it is, still a perfect song. It's usually on insanely good albums like these that I don't have much to say lol
