Interesting parts but the concept falls flat, leaving a very forgettable experience.
When bands are around for nearly 40 years they rarely release music of equal value to when they started. I have a major soft spot for RHCP but this was unbearable.
The title says it all. There is nothing of value in this release. MGK is a person of little value and his music is the same way.
This is 2022, you can't just take a drummer from a classic Pop-Punk band and crone "OHHH IM EMO" and "I WANNNAAAA DIEEE" while doing an awful Tom DeLonge singing voice. I can't even believe that this was made ironically because he has changed his whole image to fit this. Literal auditory toxic waste.
21st Century Schizoid Man - Pretty faithful cover but with the Black Midi flavour we know and love. If I had never heard the original I would probably think it was their own original track.
Love Story - I laughed so hard I went into a coughing fit. I was not expecting it to be a Taylor Swift cover but it was great.
Moonlight on Vermont - Trout Mask gonna Trout Mask.
Curry has done it again! Denzel has been one of my favourite artists of the 2010s and he is continuing that so far in the 2020s. During the single releases for this project, I knew that the sound of this record would be different from what we have come accustomed to from Curry. "Walkin" did not click with me right away but has grown to be one of my favourite singles from this decade.
While this record does not have better individual tracks than "TA13OO" or "ZUU." ... read more
This was a fun listen. Some of the instrumentation reminded me of what I loved about Moor Jewelry's album True Opera. I liked most of the lyrics even if they were sometimes cheesy.
Kinda crazy how they peaked with a record as mid as this. There are some okay to good songs, but even they tend to lull me to sleep.
I remember enjoying this a lot when I was 5 or 6 and trying to play the songs on my ukulele. Any time I hear it now, it feels like a part of my childhood is being killed in front of me.

Revolutionary. After Hours sounds like an indie song that could have been made this year.
This is one of the most records I've ever listened to. It is by far the most of all of them.
This album cover scared me as a kid, but I always loved the music.
