If I didn’t know any better, I would assume this album was released in the 1960s rather than the 90s. With this album, The Brian Jonestown Massacre have perfectly captured the sound and style of 60s garage rock with an extra tinge of psychedelia thrown in as well.

After their hugely-disappointing comeback album, Humanz, and its pleasant but scaled-down followup, The Now Now, Gorillaz are Back in full force with what I consider both their return to form and their true comeback. What can I say? I liked this album when I first heard it simply due to the hype that had built up in my system. Humanz was Gorillaz’ HIGHLY anticipated comeback album following a seven-year hiatus, and for someone who had just gotten into the band, I had high hopes that this would match their first three studio albums, or even be slightly better.
