Elite track after elite track. While still relatively small, Kali Uchis has one of the most consistent discographies of a modern soul/R&B artist and I'm surprised no one talks about it much...

I don't know why I slept on it for so long, it's such an enjoyable listen actually. There weren't any bad songs, just songs that don't fully match my taste like Sk8, but regardless of my preferences and nitpicks, still a solid album

I don't know how to explain my thoughts... It's like a free spirited album and I like that. Also STFU is overhated 😭😭🙏

While he has come through with a new sound with a project that's among one of his more cohesive ones, I can't say I love this project.

Such a thrilling listen from top to bottom. There is this irreplicable energy that the band manages to create that's so fun and upbeat a lot of the time. They are so insanely good at sampling it almost feels fake at times and their electronic funky sound just sounds likes nostalgia, if it had to have a sound. I liked how often he used synths in a lot of the songs, I found my self most impressed in the case of You got it bad. The rest of the songs are great but not all of them are super groundbreaking to me. I found you and I to be a nice piano ballad with emotional songwriting. For some reason I always overthink how to start my reviews.

Anyways I think this was definitely a solid project and is quite high up in Cole's discography. However I do have nitpicks, like the lack of following the concept of a "born Sinner" fully. A lot of the songs do portray some sort of sin, but sometimes the interludes can just take away from the themes making them less visible.

I personally like what she did here. She didn't revolutionize the sound of the genre by any means but she played it safe brilliantly so. Giveon really did his thing. I love how he did something new with this album and how he handled the storytelling across the Tracklist. The journey from anger and projection to acceptance and longing just shows how far he's come as an artist and possibly that we should expect greater things from him

Some peak storytelling and enamoring soundscapes. The story tells of frank and his lover and how the transition from puppy love to breaking apart and him coming out of it matured.
