Mac Miller - Swimming
88

Very consistent all throughout. The last four songs seem like one long outro that puts me into a trance

Joni Mitchell - Blue
84

I enjoyed this one, didn't know blu sampled the song 'blue' which is pretty cool, and I didn't expect to hear jingle bells which was funny to me. My favorites were Blue and California. My 84 seems low if I look at other reviews, maybe I need another listen.

D'Angelo - Voodoo
100

Everytime I think Brown Sugar is his best work, I come back to Voodoo and switch favorites. Then I listen to Brown Sugar, switch again, and so it goes on. I love the concept of the soulquarians on this one though, I'll say Voodoo has the slight edge for now. Of course the appearance of the Method Man and Redman duo and a Preemo beat make it even better.

D'Angelo - Brown Sugar

Luckily this album is a legal drug.

Lucio Dalla - Dalla
86

Same feeling as the 'Lucio Dalla' album, very good.

Baby Keem - The Melodic Blue
70

Decent with some standouts and consistent quality, but not my favorite.

Lucio Dalla - Lucio Dalla
87

I can picture myself in Italy with this one, great vocals and the song structures are pretty cool.

Darondo - Let My People Go
85

Enjoyed this from front to back.

Common - Be
89

Hip-Hop's Gil Scott-Heron with Kanye and Dilla beats, cannot get much better if you ask me.

Gil Scott-Heron - Pieces of a Man
90

A classic and influential with its branches reaching multiple genres. Gil Scott-Heron has a unique way of presenting his lyrics and his gritty, one of a kind voice makes it sound realer. You can hear that he has lived through quite some things. Ah and f*ck Rolling Stone for giving this a 60.

America - America
77

Listened to a lot of soft/folk rock today and this was decent, but I had other, better experiences.

Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young - Déjà vu
90

Very enjoyable music with a calm feeling, I also almost cut my hair this morning, so the lyrics were relatable and made me laugh. I think spotify is tracking my actions, but I can't prove it.

Nirvana - MTV Unplugged in New York
90

Of course an amazing performance and even more so when put into context.

Bill Withers - +'Justments
90

Touching songwriting, beautiful voice, great production. Everything you can expect from Bill Withers.

Dire Straits - Dire Straits
85

'Hand me a guitar, give me a horse, let me ride on a meadow on a sunny day, and I'll be out of your way' type of vibe. I'm all for it.

Nina Simone - Nina Simone Sings the Blues
88

I don't really think you can go wrong with any of her works

Death - ...For the Whole World to See
80

Apparently this is a groundbreaking punk rock album, I am not from that time so I can't really judge, but I enjoyed listening to this. Would love to know where this band would've been with more recognition.

The Beatles - Rubber Soul
100

My favorite beatles album for some reason, Michelle even got them talking French

Kendrick Lamar - Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers
86

Very vulnerable album, that's probably why Drake used this to diss kendrick, but yeah, we all know what happened next... Overall a great work, but TPAB, GKMC and DAMN are still better imo. Probably because of nostalgia. We'll see how it grows on me over the next few years.

Jeff Buckley - Grace
100

Crazy vocals

Edit: Had to come back to this after the documentary and give this a perfect score, of course.
