Comes across as a very natural, real moment of 2 people making music. If you seek peace of mind for a moment then listen to this.
I had to add this to the site, because I love this song, probably one of my favorites ever. What a duet.
His take on 'Grandma's hands' and 'Inner city Blues' are ok, but it is hard not to compare them with the originals, especially because they are really good. My favorites are 'Gun' and 'Is that Jazz?', two great songs. "B" Movie offers an interesting view on America and society. Overall enjoyable to listen to.
Always good revisiting Rocky's catalogue, even more so because it adds some anticipation for his upcoming LP. This project is what you can expect from him, experimental, different and dope. The fact that he picked up Joe Fox, a street performer, makes it even more special.
The song is already growing on me, reminds me of sundress big time. I'm sooo fkn hyped for the album.
Had to come back to J.Cole for a minute, because he announced The Fall Off. I remember I used to be a big fan a few years ago, but it doesn't hit the same anymore. Still not as bad as people seem to make it though.
One of my favorite artists right now, voice of an angel. Great production, (clearly no one knows him like the piano). Dancing circles and its 2.0 version are both my favorites. Sampha doesn't only deliver perfect features, but also LP's, I simply love it.
I like that the conscious Hip Hop in G-B is different than in America, it has a calm vibe and Loyle Carner's voice fits perfectly.
You know it is good when he's got the orange beanie on, prime Marvin Gaye right here. Not on par with 'What's Going On' though.
Great work, saw him live last summer and I admire how he mastered his wordplay, breathcontrol, etc.. Still drops high quality on his age and still very relevant in the Hip Hop genre. If not convinced, listen to his freestyle at HOT 97 with Funk Flex on yt!
Underappreciated artist, still consistent and always comes with clever wordplay. Not worse than the first EP imo.
This made me realise how much I miss summer. I'm always in a good mood when listening to Jorge Ben Jor.
Nas wrote some of this at 15, I can't comprehend how , and he did it with the best producers of the Hip Hop scene. THE classic of Boom Bap and probably the strongest performance of a rapper in the genre ever. I saw him last year at 51 years old on his Illmatic tour and still has the same swagger and energy, loved it.
