Yeah I dunno, this was just alright. The first 5 tracks were fun and then the album just fell off basically lmao. There was a downward trend in that middle section all the way to the end and the beats just blended into each other making it sorta boring. I'd come back to like 4 songs tops on this one.

I'd really like to enjoy this album but it just drags for me personally. Its not bad by any means, but when the majority of the songs range from alright to just good music with nothing really outstanding it gets reallllly old after a bit. I'm not a big Weeknd fan but I'd say most of his other work outshine this, especially Dawn FM and After Hours. Consisting of only 7 tracks, Daytona proves that less can be more. Pusha delivers razor sharp lyricism on top of Kanye's masterful production. I absolutely love this project and it is executed to near perfection.

Really don't understand why Troy Tyler has been put on 3 of the songs from the original album and a remixed version of Samurai. Seems totally unnecessary, but okay. Anyways, High Note and SOS are really good, so I'm just gonna pretend this is a 2 song EP and rate off those.

Really good 30 minute listen, with some interesting concepts and beats, and Lupe just flows over them seamlessly. Really solid addition to his catalog, and he's been getting back into form again. Love to see it

Finally getting around to listening to this after its been on my "next up" list for quite some time. I really didn't know what to expect, but wow was I pleasantly surprised with the experience. Clocking in at just under 20 minutes, this short EP does a lot in such a little amount of time. A really nice album from Vince Staples, that gets overshadowed with the various other projects that came out last year. Very enjoyable listen, but there a couple weak points hurting it overall. Its still very much worth a listen every once in awhile and through rotation. Could very well be his best to date.

This on the other hand... underwhelming as hell. I decided to give it another full spin, and honestly, my feelings haven’t changed. If anything, they’re just stronger.
