I don’t get it, why is this supposed to be good? Save your time. Annoying spoken word. Maybe it would be decent instrumental if you got rid of that!
Love this! TV and Change are masterpieces! A wonderful listen start to finish of dreamy indie pop with solid lyrics. Mr Romance brings that 60’s drive-in jukebox kind of vibe.
I really wanted to like this one, it’s unique, I’ll say that. Psychedelic R&B/Rap! Tardis got me excited, great song, followed by One Foot is pretty solid. Then the wheels fell off!
This is actually a pretty good album and listen. A few bangers and a bunch of solid songs up to track 13. Everything after that is bad and sounds like. complete different album. Fiddle in the band is 🔥
Great surprise! Opening track, Late to the World, sounds like The Cranberries came back with a synth led project. Love tracks 1-7, the album shifts to more electronic feel after the first two tracks. Zero is kind of an dramatic change pace song that stands out. Would rate even higher but tracks 8-12 lose a little momentum.
If black nail polish and dark industrial beats with bad nasal vocals are your thing, this is for you!
Old Soul revival, I want more! I want to rate a lot higher, but three great songs and other three just ok. Start with Wrong, I Made It, and Dear Lord!
It’s literally a guy talking over 2nd grade beats. Different? Yes. That makes it a darling for critics I suppose. Good album? Heck No! I could whiz on my cornflakes this morning, it would be different, but it wouldn’t taste good. So they like the lyrics or spoken words, fine, but that doesn’t make it good music.
Trailblazer is easily the best song here. Mississippi, My Sister, Elvis and Me along with 241’s are good tracks. Nothing else really catches my attention.
A few real bangers, overproduced and all! Show they can hit pretty hard in the opening track, Make it Make Sense. Also excel at some moderately cheesy hard rock songs, All My friends and Die for Me. I admit i cranked them lol. Not much else to get excited about after those.
First two tracks are really solid. That dreamy chill sound I love to start or finish the day to. Then the album falls off a cliff and becomes a very forgettable and boring experience.
One of those albums i really wanted to like, but left disappointed. No doubt the talent is there. None of the songs get there for me.
Solid return for a classic 70’s group that hasn’t put out in album in about 50 years! Nice blend of jazz, funk, and soul. Highlights are Chasing an Empty Dream, Coltrane, Sweeden and Only One Way. Heart of the Willing is a heartfelt tune with great lyrics that will surely speak to many, it did to me!
The downtempo indie chill album you want to start your day to with that first cup of coffee or tea. Lovely and meditative!
Severely underrated album and must listen. Full of dreamy synths, the album takes you on a sweet 34 minute journey from reality. Highlights are My Darling, My Angel, Virtue, Defibrillator and Something for Somebody. The front half of the album is super strong, would be rated even higher, but it does tail off a bit in the second half.
I’m a sucker for brit rock and this isn’t anything special. Apple Music says they get comparisons to The 1975. What? I don’t get that at all. Pause at you is decent, maybe save that one and move along.
Big disappointment! I got so excited seeing the colab with Say She She, huge fan! But now I wish they would have kept their names off. You barely get to hear the girls singing anyways. This whole album just falls flat.
