Dammit, I really like Gucci but this just ain’t it.
I was super hyped for this after the first track, but it just falls off hard. Gucci just seems distant, unfocused, like his mind isn’t all here. You get the feeling that he doesn’t really care about this, and I don’t care about the random rappers on his label, so this album is just boring. All Gucci’s verses are super generic and aren’t nearly as much fun as his music usually is.
Maybe 3 out of these 24 ... read more
Was not expecting such deep topics from this guy. Every song and verse id heard so far was like an above average SoundCloud rapper. Oddly enough, I really like how he played it. Mostly sticking to what he’s good at (the flexing songs) while branching out into much deeper topics on a few tracks. The only real negative I can think of is that his singing voice isn’t amazing, so some of the songs could’ve used a little more auto tune. Without it the song doesn’t hit as hard ... read more
Coming into this album, we all knew it was Yachty''s time to sink or swim. This album was either going to launch him back into rap mainstream, or be the final nail in the coffin of a rapper who fell off. Everyone knew he needed to bring back the fun summer vibes of LB1 and not the dark generic raps of LB2. Yachty is good an unique when he does the former. The latter makes him sound like every other rapper ever and is pretty trash.
Verdict: He just barely pulled it off.
It definitely could have ... read more
This album is not for you if...
1. You are someone only looking for pop music and dont listen to either country or edm
2. You are someone who says this isnt “real country”
3. You are someone who hates on all music even remotely related to country.
I guarantee everyone who hates this album fits into one of these 3 categories.
As someone who listens to both edm and country (amongst other things), I can see what a well crafted and well balanced this album is. Excellently walking the ... read more
This just confirms everything I said about the regular album. His songs aren’t strong enough to hold up by themselves. He needs features for his songs to work, and he decided he only wanted two this time (quavos verse was kinda weak anyway, which didn’t help). I’ll put it this way: you could put any of the feature verses on any song on the album and it wouldn’t sound any better or worse. Every song is just his trademark “soulless flexing”. By releasing this ... read more
Aight here’s the problem, every single nav verse sounds the exact same and the only distinguishing characteristic of any song is whoever is featured on it. Theyre all decent yet generic flexing. The verses are so average that they all land dead center, and the features are the only thing tipping it to be good or bad. With that said, almost all the features on this song are good, so therefore the album is more good than bad. So its a fun listen, but the man needs to fix the problem. ... read more
I see what he was trying to do. Claim to be the king of NY while starting beef with a boogie right before an album drop. With the current king on hiatus, his album proves his claims and he takes the title. The problem with that is, you have to be SUPER sure your album will be fire for this to work, and this just isn’t on that level. So what this actually ends up doing is putting you back in the conversation and making it harder to take that title in the future. The song with pop smoke is ... read more
Don’t listen to the hate, it’s all coming from people who just blindly hate everything Chris Brown puts out. This some heat. I feel like they blended breezys singing and thugs rapping really well. There are for sure a few skips on here, but overall an epic listen from a collab mixtape I never would’ve expected.
This album is just boring. Every song I try to listen to I accidentally zone out for a long ass time and come back like “damn this song STILL going”. Doesn’t help that every song has the same beat with different levels of percussion. D4L (despite being the best song) is still a chaotic mess. Sounds like the three of them got drunk at a party the way they all tryna talk over each other and just sayin random shit. But at least it’s not boring. The rest of it is.

This is lil gotit. You might know him from the phrases:
“Ayyeee bruh is this young thug?”
“No this is lil gotit”
“Oh....”
I just kinda came away from the album really confused. Montevallo was one of the first true pop country albums because it sounded so different than the bro country that was being produced at the time. But then he went away for six years and returned to a world where everyone was doing that. His style was not only not unique anymore, but was now the norm. Because of that I was expecting the album to be more along the lines of a former pop-country king returning to reclaim his spot on top of the ... read more
Ah, Dababy, the man everyone says has no variety. And I'm about to say something not everyone will agree with, but THATS OKAY. I am sick and tired of people complaining that he gives no variety. I don't care that he only does one thing because that one thing is FIRE. If you want variety then mix him in with OTHER PEOPLE on your playlist. Its like people who listen to blueface albums and complain about sub-par lyrics. Its like, THATS WHAT HE DOES, quit trying to make somebody into something ... read more
This is a Tory Lanez album. It is exactly what you expect, nothing more, nothing less. Lots of autotune, lots of his rap-sing hybrid style, several songs above average, several below average. Now ill break down the album...
None of the first three songs impressed me that much. Stupid again just feels like broke in a minute part 2 even though that song comes later in the album.
The next three songs were all added to my playlist. 10 F*CKS Is pretty hype despite torys autotune making him sound ... read more
Wow, I’m genuinely surprised about all the hate this album is getting. I’m not really a Joyner Lucas person anyway but some people really hate it. Part of it is the really long wait and there only being like five new songs on it. However, I’ve come to the realization that all the hate is more towards what Joyner represents than the album itself. Everybody is tired of all the people who claim they only listen to “real rap”, and those people make up the majority of ... read more
It probably isn’t bad, I don’t know because I get so bored listening to these songs. I can only get through like twenty seconds of any of these songs before I zone out. Lyrically it’s good but jeez make it more interesting.
Y’all, it’s not meant to be anything other than loud hype songs. For a Blueface album, it’s not even bad. It’s also the biggest album he’s released since his last one had like four new songs. Obama is still the best song. Vibes, street shit, and all the songs with features are good except for the Spanish song. These ones are bangers as long as you just don’t take it too seriously.
Knocked off, rip lil phat, and lil top all slap. The rest is pretty forgettable. Album could’ve done with some more features.
Nope, this ain’t it. Nudy is annoying as hell, his voice sounds like a mix of wiz khalifa and the blue alien from lilo and stitch. Almost as grating as the guy on 420 in London with uzi
