After the great work from Clancy, Twenty One Pilots produce something quite mediocre and uninteresting to me.
What an amazing experience for someone who never heard their music before. I will definitely have to go through their discography now.
A short and sweet little rock album that sounds as beautiful as you'd think.
This album is a perfect introduction to the sound they have solidified as their own, and delivers it in such a beautiful and melodic way that makes me love every single listen of it. Transit Blues into The Act as a two album combination might just be the greatest duo records in metalcore history and I will stand by that for the rest of time.
As edgy as the titles and cover art try to make it seem this album just comes off well and it works. Super consistent early 2000s sound that really fits still today.
What an amazing and consistent album. I love the sound, I love the experimentalism and I love the message in the lyrics, just great.
Now this was an experience. I think the genreblending and usage of different styles worked so well in harmony. I also really appreciate the opener and closer being the best tracks of the album.
meh, started promising and fell flat almost immediately and the last songs came way too late to save it enough...
Solid death metal with amazing guitar work and a great ending track run. Loved it.
Solid album with a couple really incredible songs. I like where they are going with their sound.
Whilst the content lyric wise could be excellent it just seems bland and repetitive over the course of this shorter EP
If it wasn't for the new LANDMVRKS record this would be very much my AOTY contender, but I'll happily place it at n2 with it's fresh taste and amazing structure.
Quite interesting and different album to what I'm used to listening but I loved it and would recommend it to a lot of people.
I have to really disagree with the popular consensus mostly here. I really did not enjoy tracks 2-6 and they felt quite bland for what I was expecting. Especially landmine wasn't too interesting for me. But from Above My Head (my own favorite) onward album really took a step forward and I enjoyed it.
