This whole album was honestly just really beautiful. The muffled vocals, combined with the noisy guitars and what sounds like the occasional dreamy synths really make for an ethereal experience. This feels like something you put on and just proceed to stare into space for the whole runtime, in a good way of course. My main gripe with the record would be that in some songs there it feels pretty hard to latch onto any part of them due to how noisy everything is. But overall, this was ... read more

This was a lot of fun! The live atmosphere definitely benefits a lot of these tracks in my opinion, and them being medleys only makes them stand out more from their original version. Hearing some of Daft Punk's most iconic songs mixed with some I haven't heard before made the whole thing all the more exciting. I do think some tracks could have been shorter though, especially near the end, since they did feel somewhat dragged on. But overall this was a very good live ... read more

There are plenty of really good songs on here but man, I really think this should've been shorter. 30 tracks is a massive amount, and it really got tiring near the end. At least some of these tracks could've been cut in my opinion. But there is still a lot of quality music on this record. The guitar playing is very solid, whether that be electric or acoustic, and I found quite a lot of songwriting here to be very enjoyable. Overall, the white album is a classic for a ... read more

At best, the production is very pretty and ethereal, but there are quite a few moments where it's quite bland in my opinion. 070 Shake's vocals are pretty good, but for the most part they don't do much to stand out.

Cudi my goat๐ฅน๐ฅน๐ฅน. Kid Cudi is an artist that - for one reason or another - I just feel incredibly drawn to. I've really enjoyed basically everything I've heard from him, KIDS SEE GHOSTS is one of my favourite albums of all time and my first ever vinyl, and in general he seems like an incredibly nice person and really insipring for me personally. But, now onto the album. Not sure how popular this opinion is, but Man on the Moon III might be my favorite in the whole ... read more

Wow, it's Christmas already! No Way! Anyways, this album is a pretty decent collection of songs for the holiday season. You can definitely do worse, but you could also do better. Frank Sinatra's voice is obviously very good, but I found the instrumentation to be a little underwhelming at times. It just felt pretty empty to me at a lot of points, but maybe that's just me. But for a little holiday release, it does the job.

This was a good album! The highlight on here was unsurprisingly Lorde's writing, I always thought she was one the best writers in the pop scene and here she only proves that. Her lyrics aren't the only thing she has going for her either, her singing is really good as well, only aided by her super recognizable voice. The production on here was - at some points - simply amazing, but there were a few songs that in my opinion were a little lackluster. But overall, I thought ... read more

I'm not sure if it's something to do with me, but I really hated this. And the reason I'm confused is because almost all the reviews for the albums are positive? Which personally I just don't get, but I don't mean to insult anyone who's a fan of the album, this is just my personal opinion. Speaking of, let's talk about why I hated this so much. First of all, I just don't really like Jorjiana's voice. I found it to be pretty grating ... read more

Black metal, as well as genres adjacent to it, have always been pretty intimidating for me. The main reason for that is the fact that for me a lot of time they just get really overwhelming. With all the screaming vocals, intense guitars and fast drumming they just become a wall of noise for me pretty often. And while this record doesn't escape that, I actually had numerous parts I really enjoyed despite that. The screaming vocals, while still not my favorite, can create some ... read more

I don't have a ton to say about this, as I was honestly pretty tired when I listened to it, but I still think it was great! I really like the almost chaotic sound, and combined with some of the more melodical passages I think it produces some really great sounding moments on this record. I haven't listened to much shoegaze, but if it's more stuff like this, I might have to check out more albums from the genre.

TiaCorine is a rapper that I've only heard features from, but I've thouroughly enjoyed almost all of the ones I've heard. Especially on HOT ONE by Denzel Curry, she stole the show on that track. So for that reason, I decided it would be a good idea to check out her recently released album. And I was right, this album is pretty good! While it's not a groundbreaking album by any means, what we have here is still a collection of numerous great trap songs, some ... read more

Did not know what to expect coming into this album, but man I really loved it. I loved how easily it pulled you into it's world, the album was super immersive the whole way through, which was only aided by the field recordings. Which I thought were really cool, and only added to the atmosphere of the album. This album really manages to balance out it's sounds, sometimes going for a much more agressive and thrashy sound, or sometimes being much more chill and atmsopheric, ... read more

Blue album time! This was a pretty good listen all things considered. At it's best moments, it had some fun choruses and some really good guitar riffs, examples being songs like "Say It Ain't So" and "Only In Dreams". It does, unfortunately, have a few too many songs that don't really too much for me. Examples being "Surf Wax America" and "No One Else", I just found them to be pretty bland and generic. It was a decent ... read more

Was supposed to listen to it yesterday, but I got extremely sick for like a day, so that was fun! Anyways, for one reason or another I unfortunately just couldn't get into this album, and I can't really tell you why. As far as I'm concerned the things such as the production or Laufey's singing are rather good. Maybe it's just me not being fully recovered from my sickness, but I just didn't really enjoy this one much, without any real reason why. But ... read more

Yikes, some of the instrumentals here hit hard as hell. Seriously, there were multiple times where I couldn't help but have a stank face after the beat dropped. I really like how punchy the whole album sounds. Janet's voice is great too, her cadence reminds me a lot of Lady Gaga's, so it wouldn't shock me if the latter got some influence from Janet. The consciousness of this record was pretty potent too, there are some pretty hard hitting lyrics and moments in ... read more

What a weird album. I haven't ever really listened to something like this, but I'd say I liked it a good amount. Lots of really sick bass lines and crazy guitar licks here, which I enjoyed. The vocals on here are... something. Their delively is really weird and quirky, to the point where I honestly couldn't make out almost any of the lyrics. It did fit with the album though, so there's that. But overall, this album is weird and kinda unhinged, but it's ... read more

So so so fun. This album is so fun. It's basically nonstop house banger after nonstop house banger, almost all of them flowing seamlessly into each other. The production is amazing, some of the best I've heard of this style. Beyonce is so good on here too, she has so much energy and character on the mic it's kinda crazy. Now, even though I am speaking of this album so highly, there are a few tracks that I found to a little bland, enough of them to make a somewhat ... read more

Kali Uchis is honestly one of my favorite vocalists out there right now. Her voice never fails to be beautiful, and this album is no different. The production on this album only compliments her, especially the first half, which contains a lot of these smooth R&B instrumentals. Some of them almost feel like like you're underwater in a way. The second half of the album switches it up quite a bit, containing a more reggaeton sound, which I personally haven't heard Kali ... read more
