This EP is quite different from their album, leaning more into shoegaze, having quite a lofi sound that I've come to enjoy. Ahh 'The Texas-Jerusalem Crossroads', from its album cover or the fact that it's a post-rock/shoegaze record about the second coming of Jesus being in Texas, it has gained quite the notoriety for it, people bringing it up for laughs but most of those people also love it and it has quite the cult following and defenders, well I'm one of them now!

Currently I'm quite burnt out on godspeed and similar stuff so the songs here and the album may get a higher score in the future, I remember liking this quite a lot so hopefully it goes up.

A short split EP between 'Fly Pan Am' and 'Godspeed You! Black Emperor', also for some reason currently AOTY has the tracklisting swapped. The Fly Pan Am song is a short and one idea type of their usual chill and bouncy, almost jazzy feeling post-rock, sounds like something I'd hear in the game 'Manifold Garden' or the 'Song of The Silent Land' compilation, a pretty nice song, and the locked groove at the end is really good, if I had the vinyl I ... read more

This isn't as good as the CD version but is still pretty nice and has its own vibe and sound that separates it from the other version, the sections here are played slower and more peaceful, and I think some of the tones and sounds here convey the feeling of the post-apocalyptic world here better than the CD version, having a more ... read more
