This is bad, like real bad, like this shouldn't even be released as joke. If I should describe HABIBTI in one word it would be garbage, like the level of hate I have for this album is unreal. This most be how other people saw $ome $exy $ongs 4 U last year even though most of that album was fine. I can't describe my hate my hate for HABIBTI, like I understand why this album and MAID OF HONOUR (which I have heard is somehow worse) was released, but why. Overall was there like two good ... read more
Iceman was exactly what I expected, a solid rap album with great production. First off do I have to point out some problems Iceman has. Firstly is this album a bit to long, and should at least cut 3 songs off the album. Secondly most I have to say that most of the second part of Iceman is just straight yap, like I don't think I picked up anything from the entire 4 minutes of Make Them Know. Overall can't I say I hated Iceman, but I still think it could have been a bit better. My ... read more
Evolving your sound is a normal thing as a music artist, but I don't think Joji's newer stuff is really for me. The over-popification Joji's music has had kinda makes me sad, like I'm happy for Joji that he is getting out to a bigger audience and him getting in a better place mentally, but at the same time if we look back on any of his earlier project like Ballads 1, Nectar or even back in his Chloe Burbank days, was his music just a lot more interesting. Overall can't ... read more
Nectar was where I discovered joji, funny enough thought a Team Fortress 2 meme when I was 12. Sadly was this Joji's last really good album, as it still had some rawness of his older music, but also more melodic element you hear on his newer music. The features didn't really do it for me, but Yatchy's was alright. Overall wouldn't I say this album is incredible, but it was a very important moment for Joji's music career. My highlights from this album were Tick Tock, Ew ... read more
I have always seen Jim Legxacy as a pretty underrated music artist, and even his older music shows that. CITADEL is a really solid debut mixtape, but the problem is just how much its outshined by his magnum opus from last year Black British Music, which kinda makes his older music sound bad. I felt like CITADEL did what it wanted to do, and that was to put Jim on the map. Overall did I also have some moments I found kinda boring, but with the amount of quality I heard was I well satisfied. My ... read more
I really don't understand how Thaiboy is the least popular when this is one of his worse project. Just the presence alone Thaiboy Digital brings to the table gets me so happy and joyful. Back 2 Life also kinda felt like the fading point of Thaiboy into Dj Billybool, by still having the charm of his earlier music, but also some more electronic elements you can hear on his Dj Billybool stuff. Overall did I actually like Back 2 Life, while not really being one of my favorites from Thaiboy. My ... read more
Paradise by Thaiboy Digital got one of the most positive albums of this year. Ever since Thaiboy stepped into the Electronic music scene with his DJ Billybool side project has I felt I saw something. Paradise felt like the perfect mix between the old Thaiboy and this newer sound he has found. I can just feel how Thaiboy is in a good place while being a father and husband. Overall was I well satisfied with this album, even though I have liked some of his earlier project better. My highlights ... read more
While being my least favorite out of Abel's trilogy did I still really enjoy it. Personally for me didn't I feel Echoes Of Silence was as iconic as House Of Balloons besides a few songs, or as interesting production wise as Thursday, but also it's kinda unfair to judge based off two of the best mixtapes of all time. Echoes Of Silence reminded me more of Thursday than House Off Balloons because of the Gesaffelstein-ish production you hear on both project. Overall did I really love ... read more
The potential North already has is crazy. Normally am I not the biggest fan of this type of rage, but I feel like North at her young age pulls it well off. N0rth4evr is of case not one of the greatest music projects even, but for a 12 year, can't I say it's bad. Overall did I really like North West's debut ep N0rth4evr, and how it kinda blended Hardstyle and Trap Metal with her rage sound. My highlights from N0rth4evr where kinda hard to pick but I would probably say D!e, ... read more
It's kinda wild how much Thursday is just overlooked by masses. Thursday is squeezed between in the middle of Abel's Trilogy, with the critically praised House Of Balloons, which contains some of The Weeknd's most iconic songs, and the cult classic Echoes Of Silence right after. While listening to Thursday did I feel how this whole era kinda shaped out some of his newer music, like I saw many comparisons between Thursday and a lot of the music The Weeknd made with Gesaffelstein. ... read more
Normally is Political Hip Hop a bit too much for me, but I really liked KNEECAP's new album. The two main things I love about KNEECAP's music is firstly there northern Irish accent, which I find perfect for there type of music. The second thing I like about KNEECAP is there message, as they are openly strongly pro-Palestine and honest about what they think. FENIAN was kinda new experience for me, while knowing about them in some time, was it my first full album listen since my dad put ... read more
Rainbow Bridge 2 is genuinely one the most disappointing sequel project I can remember. The first Rainbow Bridge had the charm and funniness, and the third Rainbow Bridge had wild sounds, but Rainbow Bridge 2 didn't really have anything to stand out from the rest of his music. I generally don't really remember any of the songs right now, and even though it had some of Sematary's biggest songs, didn't anything really stand out. Overall wasn't the album terrible, but I ... read more
Generation Y as a project is pretty interesting to back on. The album was made at a time where Peggy was in the military dealing with depressing, stress and extreme loneliness. Listening to Generation Y or any of Devon's other album can you really how real everything is, like on one his other album The Ghost Pop Tape does it contain the song like Bubblegum Crisis which is pretty roughly produced, while also having very explicit lyrics, while still being kinda beautiful. Overall was ... read more
