Tay-K is one of the craziest story, like being a witnessing a murder while robbing house, running from the police and making a album about it isn't something a normal 16 year old could be doing. The album starts of with Tay-K's most popular song The Race, which may be one of the Iconic song from that era. I know he was a murder, but I feel like Tay-K would have ended in the same level of popularity as Juice, X and Carti. Overall did I find Tay-K's debut pretty interesting, but at ... read more
The overwhelming amount of hate Scorpion received has never made sense to me. Scorpion is obviously not one of drake’s best projects, but it has some good moments. The album starts out with one of Drake’s most underrated songs Survival, but after that there’s just hella lots of skips and filler. I feel like the album had potential, but I just think 25 tracks, when half of it is filler. Overall did I like some aspects of the album, but it’s just way too bloated. My ... read more
I feel so sorry for Ski Mask, and the loss of X was definitely prevalent throughout the album. Stokeley is a interesting album, where I almost felt like there was two characters, Ski Mask, which I the more loud and funny rapper on song like Nuketown and Faucet Failure, and then there is Stokeley, who the more vulnerable and honest artist, which I especially felt was on the intro So High. Overall did I really like this, while still having some low points around the back end of the album. My ... read more
A plug Earl Sweatshirt and MIKE album wasn't on my 2026 bingo card. This whole album really reminded me of Earl Sweatshirt's song Making The Band (Danity Kane), which to be fair is one of my favorite Earl Sweatshirt songs. The one thing I didn't really like about the album was how the album was structured, by having the first part of album only be Mike and the second part only be Earl. I was presently surprised by how well Mike did on his part, and I was as happy about ... read more
I like Lucki, but Freewave 3 is hella overhyped. Alternative Trap and a lot of Lucki's other earlier releases had so much more personality, while I see some parts I like about Freewave 3, do I still feel the negatives outweighs the positives. The first thing I dislike about Freewave 3 is the lack of energy from Lucki's side, like I felt like Lucki was sleeping on half the songs. The second thing I didn't really like about Freewave 3 was how boring and repetitive a lot of the ... read more
Distracted being Thundercat's first album in six years, did I feel he perfectly matched my expectations. I really liked how Thundercat gave a lot of the spotlight on the featured artist rather than himself, like the songs his Thing We Call Love and What Is Left To Say where he features Channel Tres and The Lemon Twigs, which both respectfully are smaller artist than Thundercat, but almost had as much presents on there representative songs. I really happy Thundercat didn't try to get ... read more
It's wild to look at how much Jim Legxacy has evolved musically over three years. Hnpm was honestly a really good debut mixtape from Jim Legxacy, while I felt Jim showed a lot of talent over the 25 minutes, did I also have some moments where I didn't really. Jim Legxacy is really vocally, but I know how good he is at rapping, which I sadly felt were missing from Hnpm. Overall did I like Hnpm and how he tried a lot of things out, but if we look at Black British Music where the worst ... read more
First off, fuck EMPIRE Distribution for releasing this shit under X's name, secondly fuck the artists who has had a making in the album, and thirdly fuck this god damn album. Bad Vibes Forever is a gross "album" released by X's label, which I really didn't think needed to be released in any form or shape. The thing I hate about Bad Vibes Forever compared to Skins is that at least you can hear that X had some form of impact in the making of Skins, which I didn't ... read more
The thing about Chief Keef is that he either drops a genre defining album or the most meh album ever. I sadly feel like Skeletor was most on the meh side, even though it had some moments like Harry Potter which was masterly produced by Chief Keef himself, it overly had some of the blandest production Chief Keef has rapped over. I also didn't think much of the features, like Ballout was fine, but Ian wasn't necessary in any ways on the album. I get it, Chief Keef can't stay young ... read more
Skeletrix Language is one of the weirdest album I have heard, like how can a fourth of the album be complete silence. The first thing I thought about while listening was the weird naming system of calling most of the songs “Typical Rap Song” and then a number, which also is completely unrelated names to how to songs sound. If I should describe how the songs sounded like I would say that it feels like if Playboi Carti rapped over Jpegmafia instrumentals. Overall did I find the album ... read more
smokedope2016 is one of my favorite artists coming from the underground right now, and I really feel like THE COMEDOWN could be his best album to date. Smokedope has never been super focused on lyrics as he is more production oriented, but I felt like Smokedope had some really vulnerable moments like on the outro song Closing Time, where he talks about how he dislikes the fame and wishes he could get his old life back. Overall did I really like THE COMEDOWN, and while still having some a bit ... read more
It really sad to look back on X's music from after his passing in 2018, and much garbage music Jah's label released under his name. I really felt like a lot of the song were fully made after his passing, like no way X had any role in the making of One Minute or STARING AT THE SKY. I fully understand why a lot of X's diehard fans hate this album, because I do too in a lot of ways. Overall did I see some moments where if X was in control of could have been great, but I still think ... read more
I'm really sorry for Kanye and what he has gone thought the past years, but I really wish he had given himself at least a year more to work on Bully. Bully really didn't feel like Kanye in any way, like no of the funny one-liners, not any of his creative production or the present of his music. The isn't all bad and definitely has it moments, but it really doesn't feel right, almost like a posthumous release. Overall wouldn't I say it was terrible, but I can't say ... read more
I have never been the biggest Yeat fan in any way, but ADL is truly a masterpiece. For me my biggest problem with Yeat has always been that he felt unserious and didn't really try, but I felt ADL was doing something that Yeat hadn't done before. I also really liked how different the features were, like how Yeat both had rappers like NBA Youngboy and Don Toliver, but also having Elton John, Kylie Jenner and Joji. I really wasn't excited to listen to a hour long Yeat album, but ... read more
Dedication is very generic album for Chief Keef's standards. Chief Keef felt like he would become one of the biggest rapper in the scene, but sadly didn't I feel like Chief Keef every hit the succuss that he had in the early 2010's. My main problem with Dedication is that I really only felt like there were one really good song, which of course is Kills. A different thing I also didn't really like about Dedication was that I didn't feel like Chief Keef tried anything ... read more
Chief Keef made this shit at 16 and had music with kanye at 17, what am I doing with my life. The early days of Chief keef felt very different from the styles there were popular at time, like he was a black kid from Chicago wearing skinny jeans rapping about gang life, at a time where all the big rapper were rapping about partying and doing drugs. Back from the Dead feels a lot like a time capsule, in the sense that most of the ideas behind the project would have been laughed at and made fun of ... read more
Promise is a beautiful album in a lot of ways, and I would say that is one of the best album of all time if they did release Love Deluxe seven years later. I felt like Promise felt more jazzy that some of there later music, which I like because I find the production better to fit Sade's vocals. I really didn't have any issues about, but I felt some of the songs were a bit too long, which isn't really bad, but just because my brain is too cooked. Overall did I really Like Promise, ... read more
I really didn't feel a lot about D&G to be honest. The album just feels like a bunch of loose singles slapped together and called the day. I could excuse it if the album was older, but nah, this was made in 2017, so after Gluee, Tiger and Eversince. I'm still kinda confused by why this was Ecco's first full project, like only being on five of the songs is kinda wild for debut album. My biggest problem was that the album got a bit boring, like I some songs, but a lot just felt ... read more
