A really interesting first introduction to Manderley for me.
I really enjoyed the instrumentation throughout the album, especially the drums and how they really make a great presence on the whole thing.
My only gripe is that sometimes the vocals can be grating just a teensy bit (i.e. on tracks like Your Eyes!) but other than that it’s a good album.
decent project, front end was a bit stronger for me personally but still cool.
Peggy’s new album lacks a lot of the character and personality he’s been known for.
A good amount of the instrumentals are good, but when JPEG starts to rap on them he just uses the same damn flow and it gets tiring, like there’s just no switch up.
Very underwhelming.
The latest in the offshoots of black midi, My New Band Believe’s self-titled debut is a wonderfully made one at that.
Despite having two 8 minute songs, this album does not overstay its welcome at all. I enjoyed everything about this, from the wonderfully arranged guitar and string instruments, to Cameron’s soft, yet emotional voice makes this project a gem to listen to.
as of writing this ( before listening to ‘a little bit…’ ) “are you lonely?” is shteppi’s best album to date.
I would describe this album as a big release of ugly, coagulated emotions regarding self-identity and relationships.
Stephanie’s vocals are really well done on this album, I could really feel the emotions on songs like “it’s only a matter of time…” and “stephen.”

There really isn’t a single album that I know of that’s like this one.
Body of Work is the purest expression of Edward’s dissatisfaction, lack of motivation, and overall burnout, with the central theme really being “I’m not motivated to do my job anymore, but it’s what gives me my living.”
Truly, this album captures a very raw feeling in an extremely unique way. The repeated sentiment of “Art is Sucking The Life Out Of Me” is felt ... read more
jesus christ these mixes are so fucking good this does NOT feel like its an hour long.
excited for indie rock 2, jane continues the streak of banger projects.
while weaker than the last four albums preceding it (disregarding the A side being a greatest hits), it still has that punch that Dangerous had before it.
Michael is noticeably angrier on this album, and seeing what he was going through at the time, yeah I totally get why.
if you don't dance to a single song on this album, then I don't consider you a human being.
The finale of the Michael-Quincy trilogy, and my god does it still fire on all cylinders.
Once again, front to back bangers and more of that pure magic in music form that is a staple in these 3 albums.
where it REALLY started.
front to back, this was the birth of a star no artist has touched or will EVER touch.
pure talent and artistry went into this, a chart-topping disco album when disco was on the heavy decline, and is a cheat code at parties no matter what generation.
michael jackson is michael jackson, and thriller is the best selling album of all time.
pure magic in an album, i can't even say its like crack because a) i never had crack, and b) i don't think crack would be NEARLY as effective as whatever was put into this album.
Isaiah Rashad’s return is full of decent songs, with great lyrical content to be heard in all corners. However, some songs are a bit stronger than others, with some not hitting as hard for me as I would have liked it to.
Still a decent project, I just didn’t click with it as much as I thought I would.
drug bug’s second album sees improvements on every aspect of their sound, bringing that same rough art rock sound, but having a slightly grander feel to it.
At times, the vocals can leave a bit to be desired, but still a great album regardless.
tsubi club (which is short for tsunami bitch club apparently) is a name I’ve heard floating around for a while. In fact, my first intro to their music was a jungle remix of Baby Keem’s “range brothers” back in 2021(?), to which I proceeded to never hear about them again.
Fast forward 5-ish years later, and they come out with their first album under tsubi club, trinket.
It’s a banger.
Fun, bouncy productions with amazing synths, killer vocals, beautiful acoustic ... read more
