I had to stay up for this momentous occasion and I gotta say it was absolutely worth it. Despite a couple duds, Feeling Not Found is a beautiful return to form for Origami Angel. I always loved the way the band would dip into other genres mid-song and experiment with how far they can bend a song's structure, so it's really great that they ... read more
THERES NO WAY NICKELBACK WROTE ANY OF THIS, I NEED PROOF ASAP.
/\ (The cover of Photograph is not on Spotify. I am now enlightened.) /\
While in my journey of listening to every Ringex Plaster album, save my soul, I've always been interested in Roxy Radclyffe's main projects. I had an idea of what to expect, but I wasn't expecting some legitimately beautiful drone.
Last Lull of the Laurel is an experimental drone album where Roxy Radclyffe vents over drone and other assorted ... read more
I've made it to the end of Muse.
My main goal behind this endeavor was to answer one simple question. Where did we go wrong? Listening to the stark difference between this album and Absolution or Origin of Symmetry got me curious on how they degraded over time. To be honest, I think their biggest problem is age. The 9 albums in their discography were released around 3 years apart each, so it was inevitable they would start to get stagnant.
However, when going from Drones to Simulation ... read more
I miss when Muse songs gave me odd sexual tension, now it just sounds like shitty high school choral music.
It sounds even worse with their deluxe remixes
I stuck this in the middle of that new Katy Perry album thinking it was a new St. Vincent single to cleanse my palette.... i was wrong š„š¢šš
According to other Spanish speakers here the pronunciations are horrible, but I cant tell so idgaf.
-points for disappointment
+points for goated song
I fw this city pop so hard
Its to such a ninth degree that I can feel neon light be constructed in my liver. I need a bat shit crazy music video for No Problems that is fully 8-bit where some funny cartoon character does cocaine asap.
Also, this album sounds like Bo en if he locked in and didnt make loner music.
Best tracks: No problems, Only You, Take me Back
the people that didn't like the first two didn't care to stick around
This is the most confusing song I've ever listened to. Fan service tends to be a deadly play when it comes to music, and trying to shove the hook from the first Brittle Bones Nicky in to this was the worst musical decision that Rare Americans could've made.
This album really isn't that awful, like it's painfully generic and monotonous to get through, but it's not despicable.
I just find it funny that my old ass phone was struggling to play this album, the amount of times my Spotify crashed was beyond top 100 billboards it was so frequent. It felt like my phone was just trying to put itself out of its misery.

I totally get the support behind this album and how some die hard fans of Muse can get behind this, but Jesus Christ listening to this album is just death. It's not necessarily awful, it's just the fact that a week ago I listened to their best material and now I'm listening to the kids bop of art rock.
Generic corny lyrics, bland instrumentals, and the most mid production in the world. A perfect 5/10 for a half baked album.
Best song: Reapers
My addiction to lo-fi emo music is so strong, this the type of shit I wanna make.
Best tracks: catalogue, feminine adornments, piano instrumental
Other than the hits, this album dampers in comparison to Black Holes and Revelations. I assume this album and the last album canonnically connect judging by the themes and similar visual and auditory elements, so Im calling this the poor mans Black Hole and Revelations.
The material doesnt hit as hard as it did previously, and its really starting to sound superficial. The production is uncomfortably clean and parts of the instrumental are sticking out a lot more than they should. Its a bit ... read more
I cant lie when I say that I fw with some of the material on this album, but god damn what the fuck are these collaborations.
How does one collab with Jeff Buckley, Muse, and John Mayer in the same album. No wonder this album is so inconsistent.
Best tracks: Out of Time, Tangerine Rays, 1685
*supermassive black hole....*
This is the hardest album cover ever taken.
Muse's Black Holes and Revelations has a pretty interesting chronological shift in instrumentation when compared to Absolution. When listening to the two albums one after another, they really do feel like a progression of each other. They both follow the Space Rock genre, but Black Holes and Revelations feels like it elevates the electronic elements a lot further especially with the opening track Take a Bow with ... read more
