Holy shit this album completely rocks my world.
I really liked the previous 2 albums' production due to how profesionally messy it is, so it can consume you in the noise of the guitars and piano. But on Absolution, their production completely shifts to be much more clearner, and as a result, much more epic sounding. This legitmately sounds like it scores a movie, and I'm all for it.
The moment that songs like Hysteria and Butterflies & Hurricanes start, I immediately fall in ... read more
1100..... gaaaad zoooooks...
Im finally listening to Muse and god damn I fuck with this album so hard. I was told by the person that recommended me that Muse was still trying to find their sound and that this album wasn't that great. I don't know what that means for the rest of the discography buy im setting myself up with expectations that were completely blown out the water.
For a first project, the production behind the album is actually pretty impressive, and it doesn't ... read more
I hardly remember listening to this album, but coming back to these demos makes me feel like a little kid. Tally Hall was the first band I really LISTENED to, so it will always hold that special place in my heart even if I don't like their music all that much now.
Listening to this demo album is kind of bizarre because like every song is better as this demo version for some ungodly reason. They feel so indie core broo!!!! (I Know) It's Just The Same is also like the best song they ... read more
No amount of words that I can say can compare to the rock bottom boredom, frustration, and monotony I felt while listening to this 34 hour cacophony. Almost every single track is filled with a messily played synthesizer randomly switching instruments and having random effects applied at various intervals.
Here are all of my notes for this album because that's a good demonstration of how this played out:
Piano9
(00:27) We’ve commit to using full electronic piano

You still don't like Family Guy clips! How can you not like Family Guy Clips?
Okay. I'll tell you. But first turn off that shitty music and put the song "Inside Out" by Duster on.
I kinda had a feeling Duster would continue making music because they've been touring nonstop since my 16th Birthday, and I'm all for it if they keep adorning this newer electronic/slacker rock style. Ofc it's not gonna be as a good as their old stuff, but you gotta give a band ... read more
This really is a great album, but jesus fucking christ I cant stand the skits. They remind me of that one Drake diss on Kendrick where he's like... mmmm😌... Feels good to get the pen moving again😆... its a good workout...😼😼😼😼😼. Its so CORNY. They dont tank the album below sea level, but it is enough to not want to listen to the tracks again. Also, skits are supposed to be funny in some way and none of them made me laugh.
Im all for peace and positivity and allat, but ... read more
I cant remember who recommended me this cause I slept on it too long, so sorry to who it is :(
Its a pretty solid emo album, and I like the horns that plsy in some of the songs. Uuuuuuuh... fuck..... how do people make paragraph long reviews on everything goddamn. Thats real dedication to your work.
Best track: Steeplechase
I forgot to rate this album when I listened to it woops
Ofc the critic named Dork gives this shit an 100
PLEASE DUUUUDE, I NEEEEED DISTORTION PARANNOUL
This album is genuinely fucking beautiful. After the Magic from last year was something that i liked, but it didn't stand out all that much since I was intaking a truckload of shoegaze. HOWEVER, the sound on this album is unmistakably distinct from the rest of their work
The production on Sky Hundred is a mix of emo guitar riffs, speaker destroying drums, a wild array of synthesizers, and an intiment vocal performance to wrap it all up into ... read more
This album is soothing and interesting throughout. Nothing was really lost on me, but I do find it to grow a little stale towards the middle. The begining and ending of this album is really great though. This has album of the year potential, but it doesn't quite reach the mark.
Best tracks: That Lovely Nightmare, Peter's Cauldron, Cauldron Rock, Stomping Out Stars
This is one hell of a solid record which is pretty ironic when every track here is vastly different from each other. I don't have a lot to say since my previous JPEGMAFIA review covered my thoughts on his discography, and those points stand the same here.
This album really is a fucking banger though, the production is out of control and it really does remind me of Death Grips funnily enough. Some of these tracks are really fucking abrasive. That Electric Guitar really stands out and I ... read more
I love imagining Papa Meat screaming these metal vocals as if he was Tony the Tiger or some other eldritch horror beyond comprehension that he has made.
10 points for each single released before the EP dropped.
Dan sounds like those videos that I used to put on when trying to sleep that are like "Austrian man whispers poems in to your ear (10 hours) (relaxation) (meditation)."
This album is the equivalent of eating an entire 5 pound bag of Sour Patch Kids. The first couple tracks, and especially Romance, are just incredibly gothic and dingy, and it's really setting up this well-focused nihlistic tone. Then out of nowhere, Desire is like EVERY 24 WRETCHIN WITH DESIRE... ALL 24 ARE WRETCHING WITH DESIIIIIIIIREEEE!!!
Best tracks: Starburster, Desire, Favourite, Bug
