Hell yeah! This is a pretty good step up from The Great Milenko. Lots of great tunes, catchy choruses, and memorable verses. Instrumental work is done much better, and the vocal performances have more effort and love put into them. Favourite track: To Catch A Predator.
Its okay! I left with a lot of tracks i find myself revisiting, a lot of it is kind of mind numbing with being samey, but the good songs are pretty good. Favourite track: Piggie Pie
Fun project from paramore, expected a bit more but cant say im quite disappointed. It sounds pretty good, and leaves you with a good feeling by the end. And the outro leaves such a high impression on you. Favourite track: All I Wanted.
Going to be completely and fully biased with the score here. I LOVE this album. So much. To release this kind of sound, this late into his career, this far into his life, is incredible on its own. I love almost all the features, i love almost all the songs. Danny outdid himself on every performance. Its just peak!! Favourite track: Starburst
This is wonderful! Its a dark, high energy album that doesnt give you a break a single time. Has some great bangers. Favourite track: Rolling Stone.
This is great. I don't even want to elaborate on it just please listen to it i love this album so much. Favourite track: Driving Me Crazy
I love it!! Has a unique vibe i have not experienced before, and this project has given me a big interest in this artist. Blends nostalgia with modernity and it just sounds really cool. Favourite track: Phantom Lock
Very short album with barely memorable tracks. You don't lose anything by listening to it, but you don't really gain anything either. You've heard one song from it? You basically got the essence of the whole album. Favourite track: I Was Never There
Pretty good on first listen but I don't feel drawn to relisten to the project or most of it's songs when it's over. Despite that, i still think it's a good album. Favourite track: 1999
In my opinion, a much better project than Live Love was! A lot more experimental and unique in it's own sounds, dives a lot deeper into it's explored topics and is generally more consistent about the quality. A lot of the times, there's songs I didn't enjoy, but didn't think it was bad whatsoever. However, this album still suffers a lot from samey sounds, it's just less prevalent than Live Love. Favourite track: Phoenix
Wasn't huge on this one, a lot of the songs sounded way too similiar to other songs and i generally didn't think it sounded that good or explored any topics too extensively either. Favourite track: Wassup
Very interesting experience. Sounds really cool, but has some iffy tracks on it. Would be better if it were polished a bit more. Right now it sounds messy in a way that sometimes definitely was not intended. And why the 4 empty songs...? Favourite track: Vera Blue (96/69)
Great album front to back. First album I've listened to which i dont know the language of, so that made it very unique to me, making me focus a lot more on other aspects of the album rather than its lyricism (though, i have read translations while listening). Sounds awesome and has energy all throughout, but it does blend together a bit. It makes me have high hopes for Weather Station, though. Favourite track: Billow of fireworks.
I feel that the sound of this album did not disappoint me nearly as much as it did other people. However, all the songs are more or less about the same theming, and its just freaky for the sake of being freaky, with not much more to it. It feels pretty consistent in quality, i cant really point out any duds and the album flows smoothly when you listen to it. If a bit more thought was put into the lyrics themselves, it would be a much better album. I dont mind out of pocket lyrics, non sensical ... read more
I dont understand the negative perception on this one, its awesome! From start to finish, its mostly consistent with how good the songs are, the only flaw being a 3 track run in the second half that doesnt live up to the rest of the mixtape. Everyone did a great job, Denzel having less inclusion than the rest of his projects has not bothered me once while i listened to it. It feels very polished, and its a great opportunity to give more recognition to some of the lesser known artists that are ... read more
This mixtape feels like it channeled all the energy Denzel put in his previous records to make his most hype project as of today. It sometimes has filler, but its better tracks take all the spotlight and leave you with a positive outlook on it since its not too long. Not much to say, its a banger. Favourite track: Hot one.
Its, alright. I was a little disappointed by this one honestly, i thought it was just me not feeling right on my first listen, but it doesnt hit with me like everyone would make it out to. I understand the appeal, but it does not live up to the the energy of all of his other projects, or the emotional vulnerability of Taboo. Which is why im rating it so low compared to all other of his projects. Maybe it will grow on me. Favourite track: Walkin
Really hype album, full of bangers after bangers. I only feel like the second half falls flat compared to how good the first half is, and that even then the album feels too short. I mean, its not even half an hour long, imagine what it couldve been if the second half was a little better and had more tracks. Still a fun, worthy listen. Favourite track: Ricky.
While not the first album released by Denzel, it is the first one i have listened to. And, man, what an introduction. 3 discs, all short but straight to the point. It feels hard to even say anything about it, because what new things could i possibly bring up? Its great, at times it feels a bit samey with the beats, but its something i can put past it. Favourite track: TABOO I TA1300
