How the critics didn't rate this higher is beyond me. There are some of their best songs on this record. If you're not familiar with them, they're an indie pop band from Sweden. The lead singer's voice is very unique. Their music definitely has a twee vibe to it. If you're not familiar with the whole genre that they call twee, research it. It may be pretty wimpy for a lot of people, but I like it.

I can't believe this record has such low ratings. Jeez, sorry that or wasn't Pet Sounds, but it's still great! This record didn't chart when it came out. Sure it's a hippie sounding record, it was put out in 68. It's very relaxing.
It starts with Meant For You which is a vocal piece that is calming.
The song Friends is just awesome. Just catchy. Then in the middle of the song, it changes and becomes vocally interesting. Great track.

Richard D James is definitely known for his reputation to not conform to any style or genre of music. His crazy off kilter beats are his and his only. But on this double record, he takes it down a notch. Actually, he takes it down 1000 notches. Wispy sounds, ambient waves, sleepy samples... I've listened to this record to float into sleep countless times when it came out. One of my favorite ambient albums of all time. God this record is perfect.
First off r.i.p. to Mimi Parker from Low. So.....Low have been around for years creating very slow, mellow, droney soundscapes augmented by the beautiful voices of the husband/wife duo that is Low.
