it’s a solid project, but once again, i’m disappointed by the boringness of the album. it started off amazing and i was definitely not bored, the opening track had fantastic songwriting and after that was a really cool ballad that gave old johnny cash vibes. but soo after it got repetitive and boring. the vocals throughout most of the album was very good as always, they’ve built a really nice sound and this album sounds significantly more polished and finished than their first ... read more
i think this album would’ve been a whole lot better without danny brown, not only does he have a voice like nails on a chalk board, he just cant find a flow, it sounds horrible every time he wraps and it’s not just because of his voice. i think peggy does pretty well, the production is amazing though, it’s so extremely creative, peggy always blows me away with his creativity.
man this was awesome, i did not expect to not be bored through a 25 song album, but i was not, and could’ve gone much longer. the production as expected was phenomenal, like extremely impressive. i don’t have anything to say bad about this besides that i wasn’t a huge fan of the trap beats towards the end, and even though the same flow was used 95% of the time, its a great flow, and he is going off every single time, besides the charlie kirk lines, those were corny. but this ... read more
did not think that we’d get new whitley/skaggs this year. but i mean it’s whitley and skaggs, of course it’s amazing. bluegrass from these two is perfection, their voices are so damn good together.
holy shit this is amazing, it’s like pearl jam if they were a garage band. it feels so polished but it feels authentic and live too. the songwriting on “Jacky” is amazing, very reminiscent of “Jeremy” by pearl jam which made me see all the pearl jam influence all over this EP. i see Bleech 9:3 going somewhere for sure. hope we get an album this year cause it’s for sure be a AOTY contender 100%
new dale watson this year? hell yeah. this ain’t to bad for a 63 year old dale. i thought the songwriting was great and he still sounds great as well. i think “Willie Waylon and Whiskey” was a really cool tribute that was definitely a very cool concept, it had a good instrumental and it’s written well but the execution wasn’t there. that’s really the main problem for the album, it seems kinda dead. which is too expect out of this honestly, it definitely ... read more
i’m again reminded that good music is still being made and it’s still authentic and fun (somtimes). these guys would make a really good thrash metal band, just a random thought i had throughout the album. anyways, i think somtimes the vocals don’t exactly fit very well, it might be lacking energy or maybe it’s the mixing, but somthing feels missing there, but this is a great album nonetheless. as the album goes on it starts to seem a little less memorable and like less ... read more
cut worms was very nice, but it’s quite repetitive, and from a person who doesn’t listen to alternative often, it doesn’t seem very memorable. max clarke kinda reminds me of john lennon, i kinda hope he goes for a similar sound in the future. all the tracks are very solid though and they all sound nice. i’m a fan of the songwriting and the vocals are solid, but again, nothing new or special, just another alternative album. it’s a very well performed project but i ... read more
on my momma doy’s brudda makin it out
there’s a lot of highs on this album that made it worth buying for me like “Wrangle Mountain Song” and “Hitchhiker” but there’s also a few that are a little boring and forgettable that make it a more forgettable john denver album. i still love this album though, it has some of my favorite songs from him and of course his amazing voice is there on every track that never dissapoints.
this album hits home for me man, this is my grandmas favorite and one of the first albums i got on vinyl so it’s very nostalgic for me. not only is it nostalgic, it’s just simply an amazing album, i don’t think anyone can beat the voice of john denver. it’s so relaxing, it’s just makes me want to go and sit around a campfire all night. rip to one of the greatest in my books, john is just so damn good.
what a classic man, the vocals are outstanding, it’s such a beautiful and chill album. amazing songwriting too, it’s very creative.
really good album, i don’t feel like people talk enough about deep purple besides smoke on the water.
now, are these songs i’d choose to play again, nope, probably not besides one or two, but it’s not bad, it’s just not necessarily for me. i do really love their cover of black sabbath’s “changes” though, been playing that one since it released, but besides that i’m not sure i’d want to come back to the album. it’s got average songwriting, great vocals, and decent insturmentals, it’s not unique or special at all, but it’s ... read more
i mean it’s not horrible, but most definitely not for me. i find it very annoying and extremely repetitive unlike what i was told prior to listening. lyrically he is extremely weak, the production is nothing special, neither is his voice, it sounds exactly like how 80% of high school bandlab rappers sound. this is also way too long for a pluggnb album. again, i’d just like to emphasize how annoying this dude sounds. i don’t understand it. thank god he’s getting locked up ... read more
honestly this was much better than i expected it to be. braxton did a lot more with this album than i thought, and my expectations were low considering how long the album is for a country record. there were some really good songs, some got pretty repetitive as i expected, but not as much as i thought. if he removed a couple tracks to shorten it up and make it less boring, it would be a real damn good album.
this shit is so ass i guarantee it won’t even get tik tok use. like i really do not understand the thought process of drake deciding to keep featuring sexyy red on his albums. i mean it is beyond horrible. she’s not the problem, but my gosh she makes it a whole lot worse. this is pretty much the same story as MOH, plain freaky ass r&b songs that literally nobody would ever want to listen to. please drake never release somthing like this again, i am begging you. i can’t ... read more
man this could be really good if it wasn’t for tracks like “Little Birdie” and “Don’t Worry.” drake was definitely spitting on several of the tracks, but there’s a few that brought the score down quite a bit. it’s just too long as well especially since he decided to drop 3 of em. there’s a good few of very stupid lines as well, and i was quite disappointed 21 didn’t get a verse. production was pretty good for the most part, did get ... read more
