Townes Van Zandt got plenty of fantastic albums, but man this one’s amazing. As always, the songwriting really couldn’t be any better, this one’s a very personal and emotional album that still keeps that amazing story telling he does so well. I had to let it grow on me, but it’s such an amazing album and outlaw country don’t get any better than this.
Benny please stop talking about coke in your belly button and ass. It feels like the same song every song on the album, and it all sounds like a bunch of songs from the vault, they’re so boring. Boring ass listen for not even a 30 min album.
This will probably never happen again, but i agree with pitchfork, mfs forcing themselves to like this. I don’t understand the appeal. It’s definitely creative but the quality is not there, i guess my ears aren’t trained. I thought the production would be over the top good at least, it was on a few songs but like for example, “NORMALIMMORTAL” i just don’t understand how you can turn that on and enjoy it, it doesn’t make sense to me the appeal of this ... read more
fire ass production with the organs and violins and what not. I can really get down with zukenee’s music, and i’m not really one to like music like this. My favorite project of his so far.
genuinely how tf do people like this, it makes me aggravated how bad this is. I could not understand a single word this man muttered the whole album of 20 songs, he’s the most sleepy artist i’ve ever heard, and the few bars i can understand are complete bs. this dude CANNOT rap. Dudes got the same flow the whole time, he’s sampling farts 😭, and the song “Rinsed” gave me ear damage. Production is the only reason this album has any points.
Man, i don’t really like this one very much. Album felt like a new album listening to it again because i don’t think i’ve ever gone back to it since first listen. I’m not forcing myself to like it. There’s a couple tracks i do like though like, “STOLE YA FLOW” and “ NO TRESPASSING” but most other tracks are pretty mediocre.
we all start somewhere, and really this is not a bad start at all, i’m only rating it a 20 because obviously the comparing i have to do to the other album i rate, i would give it lower being 100% honest but you my guy and lower than a 20 seems like straight bs. To be honest it sounds like every other non experienced comm prod project, but i can see you improving. Work on the mixing and finding new ways to make melodies that arent that same old synth that i hear way more often than id like ... read more
Who is this?!? This dude is SPITTING. I really like the prod but he gotta change it up just a lil, and it’s a little boring at times. but man this is underrated as hell. Hoping he gets his flowers soon after he signed with Rapzilla. dude needs to collab with DJ Mykael V ASAP.
To Hell With the Devil was the first ever christian metal album to go platinum and it conquered mainstream metal against the odds. It’s got catchy riffs, and pop hits with “Honestly” and “All of Me.” But it’s not a standout like Against the Law is despite the attention it got in the 80s. Some of the hooks feel forced and they just don’t hit as usual. They weren’t yet at their peak, but this is still an important album.
Against the Law by Stryper from my knowledge was their first and only album that doesn’t have none of their usual christian themes, minus “Rock the Hell out of You” which i’m assuming is in reference to a christian belief. Every song on this album is catchy asf. Pretty much the christian judas priest and this is definitely my favorite album i have heard of theirs.
Painkiller comes very close to perfect to me, the only things holding it back is “Hell Patrol” and the annoying vocals i can’t force myself to like 100% of the time. Besides that, this man’s vocal range is very impressive. K.K Downing and Glenn Tipton are amazing guitarists and i really like the way their guitar solos go back in forth taking turns shredding between the two. Very good album.
i think charley’s up there with some of the greatest live performers ever, this dudes vocals are 2x better and his dancing is awesome live he’s so fun to watch. His performances of goin back to texas, don’t tell me that, and travelin blues are the standouts. Especially if you’ve seen the video performance. The Blue Drifters are so amazing
super awesome EP, feels like he puts a more outlaw spin with some of his older roots mixed in there on these tracks off The Man From Waco. Some of these versions i’m even taking over the originals.
just because your from texas does not mean you need to make the most shitty “country” music ever released
country music is never recovering from this dumbass, it’s not helping that the album is long as hell and has not a single grain of substance and meaning
