Tweedy's songwriting is, of course, phenomenal, and here he delivers an emotional and very intimate epic. Definitely want to relisten to it when I'm not doing work.
Not really a fan of tracks 7 and 8, but those barely detract from how extraordinary the rest is.
First album of 2026. Everything here sounds so ethereal and otherworldly. Gorgeous stuff.

I heard “But I Want More” in a record store and immediately listened to the album when I got the chance. Holy shit, this whole record is so good, it deserve more love.
A quietly haunting album that only gets more heartbreaking the more you know about Mark Linkous. I had never heard of Sparklehorse prior to this, but from the very first track, it immerses you into it's melancholic mood. Linkous's ability to convey these emotions through his poetic lyricism and mellow voice reminded of Elliot Smith at multiple points.
