If I had only one thing to say, it's that Suicide is well named...
Suicide or how to make a madman's album with almost nothing. It's minimalist synth-punk... how is that, you don't know? Listen to "Ghost Rider", you already have in this song all the essence of Suicide.

One of the weirdest albums I've ever heard, the eerie and unnerving atmosphere that goes through the whole record is unmatchable; through its simplistic and primal instrumentation and its brutal lyrics and primitive vocal delivery it manages to create a shivering and nightmarish experience. "Girl" is a pretty low-tier track, and the most memorable moment is by far "Frankie Teardrop", which actually carries a lot of this album's impact, but that doesn't mean that the project ... read more

Excellent debut from New York's influential synth punk duo that was trailblazing of its time. The scary and mythical "Frankie Teardrop" track really gets under the skin with those bloodcurdling shrieks and violent narrative. The primitive and primal electronic rhythms pulse beneath Alan Vega's schizophrenic mix of punk growl and Elvis style crooning makes this a classic at its own league. Genuinely terrifying record.

Frankie Teardrop is one of the best songs ever written. Suicide self titled record is one of those few albums that you cant compare to any others. You can see the influence that path away for so many bands moving forward that doesn't get much attention but ever so is important. The atmosphere surrounded of this record is menancing and theaturic. The minimal repetitive synths pulls you onto a dark trance and vega's vocals that he would sing and talk reminds me a bit of lou reed from the velvet ... read more
