The edginess pushed me away a little bit on the first listen, but I now see the artistic value in having the lyrics that it does, adding to the already great sludge sound. Must listen for metal fans, as it is one of the defining sludge albums
88 -> 92
Unlike the last one, I actually listened to this. It was exactly what I expected and I don't think these people actually care about the music, just getting attention because they think they're being persecuted for their beliefs
This is so far from what I expected in a way that I have nothing to compare it to. It's just a good listen, though the Electric Wizard sound hadn't quite developed fully yet
The anthem of young women brain-broken from countless hours of short-form content. As much as I liked SOUR, this almost feels like a fabricated persona made to connect with as many people as possible, and it worked; people won't shut up about it.
The melodies are reused, the instrumentals are basic, and the lyrics are painfully corny and/or privileged. At least her voice is nice. I can't think of a possible scenario where someone would sit down, actually listen to GUTS rather than have it on ... read more
I don't know how anyone can listen to this the whole way through without cringing. I can't even rate it properly because it's so far from something I can make it to the end of. Somehow, I prefer every less successful band Josh Homme has been a part of, most notably Kyuss
I used to think black midi was "just noise" until I listened to more jazz and prog. The more you listen, the more you find structure to the chaos.
I liked how few solo tracks there were because WOW i really do not like this guy. the music without the lyrics is generally great
surely it can't be that bad, right? no, it is.
SHAKE SUMN: i wish i never heard the full song, this is absolutely terrible
GHETTO GIRLS>>>>: rehashed flows and themes EXCLUSIVELY from his worst songs
SELLIN CRACK: i liked a bar or two but it quickly devolves into a horribly produced mess, with Offset's verse recorded through two tin cans connected by string.
I'm not even going to put anything else on to recuperate; I prefer silence now
Listened to this back to back with Souvlaki. Not sure which one I like more, as they are too different to compare yet equally appealing.
The negative reviews aren't genuine, but the album feels like it's missing something. Trimmed down, this could be a really good EP
I liked this at first but am ABSOLUTELY TIRED of hearing nearly every song on here. 100 -> 70
I don't usually like these kind of projects but this is def the pinnacle of 2020s rap so far. Every style and big player makes an appearance
Sometimes it takes a lot of weed to gain an appreciation for something new.
