The edginess pushed me away a little bit on the first listen, but I now see the artistic value in having the lyrics that it does, adding to the already great sludge sound. Must listen for metal fans, as it is one of the defining sludge albums

Unlike the last one, I actually listened to this. It was exactly what I expected and I don't think these people actually care about the music, just getting attention because they think they're being persecuted for their beliefs
This is so far from what I expected in a way that I have nothing to compare it to. It's just a good listen, though the Electric Wizard sound hadn't quite developed fully yet
The anthem of young women brain-broken from countless hours of short-form content. As much as I liked SOUR, this almost feels like a fabricated persona made to connect with as many people as possible, and it worked; people won't shut up about it.
The melodies are reused, the instrumentals are basic, and the lyrics are painfully corny and/or privileged. At least her voice is nice. I can't think of a possible scenario where someone would sit down, actually listen to GUTS rather than have it on ... read more
