Reviewing this cuz I can't review the other album πŸ’€

While not as deep and cutting as Lemonade was, I was definitely surprised by the change of pace. Just some straight up bangers that flow together really well and reinforces the overall experience. Lot of ambitious moments on here too like with "VIRGO'S GROOVE" and "ALIEN SUPERSTAR."

Only thing holding me back from liking the whole entire thing would be "MOVE, HEATED & ALL UP IN YOUR MIND" ... read more

Never really been a big J Cole fan and this mixtape isn't really helping tbh. Like theres the super weak diss at the end thats been talked about to death, the song "Fever" where J Cole literally just tries to make A DRAKE SONG. I don't even know whatever the hell H.Y.B is 😭

On the bright side I guess it starts kinda strong so theres that, but yeah this mixtape is super average :/

Okay finally reviewing something actually new. The only other Vampire Weekend release I've listened to was Modern Vampires of the City and I just loved it. I don't know why I just started and stopped there but it was a really solid album so I thought why not, I'll give this a listen.

Shit was worth it cuz this album is gas, it's filled to the brim with so many creative ides and genuinely captivating songs. I remember the writing being something I really appreciated on MVOTC, but ... read more

Idk why but I really connect with this album emotionally, just how much it's willing to reveal but also keep hidden in it's lyrics and sound palettes. I can see why someone wouldn't gravitate towards it on the surface but it just sounds so raw.

For an album called Black Metal it's surprisingly soft at times. Definitely a standout from the 2010s.
