The amount of times that I have heard this album growing up is unbelievable. It shows how ubiquitous this album was to pop culture and modern music as a whole. Playing 2k, I would hear this album. In the mall, I would hear this album. In the gym, I would hear this album. At football and basketball games, I would hear this album. This album has possibly the greatest reach in the entire genre. The fact that this album sounds amazing is also unbelievable. The production, sampling, and writing is ... read more

I have a weird relationship with this album. It really just depends if I’m in the mood for it. All of the tracks are quality and good, but most of the time I’m only in the mood for “New Kid In Town”. Still a solid project that when the time comes I will play.
This album is great. I do seem to listen to the very beginning, the very middle, and the very end the most. The tracks in between those 3 are also still solid tracks that allow me to enjoy everything all together.
The first 5 tracks are great, dare i say phenomenal. This does fall off a bit in the latter half, but is still plenty good.
This album drags and aside for Layla I don’t really remember much about it, even after repeat listens. Layla is a phenomenal track though.
I don’t think this is bad I just don’t understand it. Danny’s voice is mixed horribly and I don’t like some of the production. The main reason I come back to this album is to hear how weird it sounds for like 2 minutes then go back to something else.
This album is name dropped in the biggest rap beef since Biggie and Pac. All jokes aside this seems to be an incredibly personal album to Kendrick and it works.
Is it wickedness, or weakness? On this project you decide. How will we live, or die.
Every time someone shuts this album off mid listen, it KILLS MY VIBE
I think this is the most overrated album I have heard. I always hear nothing but high praise for it and I don’t understand it. I love the beat to “Wet Dreams” but I also don’t want to hear about a dude fucking for the first time. This album is just Ok.
