The Circle In The Square is an alright album. The subtlety of many of the songs vary. Some are solid and subtle, others are very on the nose. I also feel like the album drags at points. There's a few songs which are really good, but a lot of them are unremarkable. It's Fight With Tools, but updated and maybe slightly better production.

Woodstock as an album is decent album. It's something to put on when you need something to listen to. I feel like there are some great ideas on this album, but ultimately it falls flat most of the time and just gets a "Hey, that was a nice song." reactions from me. I think Portugal. The Man is an artist with a lot of style and flair, but this album doesn't grasp that. It's the typical breakout album from a semi-underground artist that has a few bangers, but nothing of true substance. ... read more
Easily one of my favourite albums of all time. Every note fits, every flourish stands out, no track feels like filler. The album is enjoyable front to back. I don't have much bad to say about this album, and can only sing praises. I also have a lot of nostalgia for this album since it was one I listened to a lot early in highschool.

Demon Days is an exceptional album. It presses almost all of the right buttons for me, and it doesn't attempt to be anything it isn't. It experiments in the right ways, it tests the boundaries of genres, it has a nearly perfect flow, and it has a sound that is undoubtedly its own, despite the many attempts by other artists to replicate it. It's commentary is extremely subtle and the in-universe lore around this album is just as good as their debut. Songs rarely overstay their welcomes and the ... read more
Gorillaz' self titled debut has interested me for a long time. Gorillaz is a band I have a lot of nostalgia for, not only in my childhood, but in my teenage years aswell. I think this album does a lot of things right, it has some very unique songs, and it stands out a lot in the music I do regularly listen to, but at the same time, I feel like there's nothing much that holds this album together. It's a good project, but it feels like it was much more revolutionary in its own time. I still think ... read more
I would argue that this is one of the best indie-pop albums of the second half of the 2010's. This album does almost everything right. The band tests the waters of what they can do, without pushing themselves too far/trying too hard. They carved out a sound for themselves and created a mostly unique aesthetic. There is the occasional dud, but those moments are few and far between. The band distinguishes this album from ZABA, without becoming something completely unrecognizable.

Vessel is definitely one of the albums of all time. There's not much that I can say about why this album is great, but at the same time there's nothing completely stand out for me to hate. It's basic and derivative, but has a few bops in there. I'll be honest and say that I don't hate music unless it bores me, and while this album isn't the most exciting one I've ever heard, it manages to be bearable enough to get a decent score.

Blurryface is one of the first albums I ever listened to in full. Over the years my opinion has fluctuated on it, now that I am older and can look at it with a critical eye free from the influences of other people, all I can really say is that it is okay. There's rarely anything absolutely outstanding on this album, but at the same time I believe some of the weaknesses are over-exaggerated. Yes, there are a few moments where the writing is really bad and cringeworthy, but at the same time ... read more
