I don't think projects about COVID can get much better than this. There's only so much of a reminder that I can take and I think a 4 (technically 5) track EP is perfect. Every track on this EP fits in its place, and it fits a major theme that most people can relate to regarding the COVID-19 pandemic. Each track is also immaculately produced, I cannot deny that Jason Suwito is amazing when it comes to producing. Daniel Armbruster also clearly gave this project his all, which is something I ... read more
This might be a little weird of a review, since I've never been a big Vampire Weekend fan, but Father of the Bride just gripped me somehow. It may be how damn infection songs like Harmony Hall, This Life, and Sunflower are, but it just is a very easy piece of work that I find connection to. My enjoyment of it also coincided with July of 2020 when COVID was still pretty much making it so that we couldn't leave the house. This album has some amazing highs, like the songs mentioned earlier, but at ... read more
NoEnemies offers a newer way to appreciate Flobots. Each album they tweak something just enough for it to stand out from it's predecessor, but I think NoEnemies is truly them taking a proper step from where they began with Fight With Tools. Flobots truly test the bounds of their production abilities and musical prowess, and I believe that, while it worked out here, it didn't meet its full potential. I still think NoEnemies is a solid project, though underwhelming. Again, the writing meets the ... read more
4:44 is truly an amazing album and the album I credit for getting me to be more open to hip-hop as a genre. Jay-Z crafts excellent narratives with his lyricism on this record and has some amazing flows. This album is excellently crafted and is made better by the introspective nature of it. It covers societal topics that the average artist will not cover. Jay-Z is a legend of hip-hop and this album proves it.
Favourites: The Story of O.J., Marcy Me
Least Favourites: Bam, Moonlight
This album is a mess and I love every second of it. It's hard to pick favourites from this one, there are so many great tracks on this record.
Favourites (Disc 1): Dear Prudence, While My Guitar Gently Weeps
Favourites (Disc 2): Helter Skelter, Good Night
Least Favourites (Disc 1): Wild Honey Pie, Why Don't We Do It In The Road?
Least Favourites (Disc 2): Birthday, Savoy Truffle
Yeah I had a bit of a Beatles phase back in 2020. This was my personal favourite Beatles albums, but I cannot deny that, objectively, it's nothing special from the Beatles. That's not to say that it isn't an amazing album, and at its worst it is, twice as good as many artists bests.
Favourites: I Am The Walrus, Magical Mystery Tour
Least Favourites: Flying, Your Mother Should Know
It's fuckin Abbey Road, what can I say?
Favourites: Here Comes The Sun, Carry That Weight
Least Favourites: Her Majesty, Something
I remember being on the hype train for Possession back in 2019-20. It was the first album that I stayed up late to listen to, and back then I thought it was legendary. Two years later and a lot of time to re-listen to the record, I can say that this record was alright. Of the records I was hyped for in 2020, this is definitely on the higher half of the tier list, but the record really wasn't as good as I thought it was upon release. There are some great concepts on the record and some real ... read more
I think Danny Gonzalez is kinda funny, but Bump This really is just a couple of decent beats with tongue and cheek writing. There is not a lot of comedic substance on this EP, instead it's some 'tee hee! look I'm doing something quirky and goofy!' lyrics. Like I said, there are some fun beats, some catchy writing, and some kinda funny ironic concepts, but there's really nothing that you will be missing out on if you don't listen to this EP. Overall, it's fun at best, and mid at ... read more
Suck it and See catches a lot of flack. Some of it understandable, a lot of it not deserved. I think, in the most basic sense, Suck it and See is a fine album. I'd rather have an album that stays fun without doing anything crazy or out there rather than an album that tries to be fun as well as artsy and falling flat on its face. I think Suck it and See is the album to play when enjoying a summer day, sitting in a lawn chair, sipping on something cold. It's not an album that requires much ... read more
A timeless indie album which heavily influences much of the popular indie projects that have release since. There's not much to say other than that this album is amazing. The production matches the feel of the project, the writing is top notch, the songs are truly iconic. One of the albums I would recommend to anyone.
Favourites: The World At Large, Ocean Breathes Salty
Least Favourites: Dance Hall, Black Cadillacs
Poor, misunderstood Tranquility Base Hotel + Casino. A lovely concept album where Arctic Monkeys embrace their inner art hoes, and I love every second of it. This album is impeccably written, performed and produced. It's the big left turn of the 2010s, Arctic Monkeys' own Kid A. It's a beautiful project that presents an interesting concept to think on. I think that the overall sound is much more interesting than the rock sounds that Arctic Monkeys had become known for over the course of a ... read more
It's a classic indie rock album. Nothing else can be said about it. Iconic in every way shape and form, and I am gonna annoy a lot of people when I say that it is not the best Arctic Monkeys project. I do believe that all of their albums are great, but this one is not their best. Obviously that is my opinion and I don't think people need to change their opinions to match mine. While this album is absolutely incredible, it also feels very static and the few pace changes that happen in the album ... read more
Humbug is my personal favourite project from Arctic Monkeys. It presses a lot of the right buttons for me. Its psychedelic at points where it needs to be. It picks up the pace from time to time to keep the listeners attention. It isolates itself in the discography by having the most unique overall sound for the band. It pulls of the spookiness that "Favourite Worst Nightmare" did not do well, while also feeling approachable. Overall my only gripe is that the album is incredibly short, ... read more
This album is a beautiful mess. There's no two tracks that feel alike, and this is a blessing and a curse. It allows the band to experiment, which brought some great songs that are incredibly enjoyable, but also brings some complete train wrecks of songs. I feel like the songs go back and forth between the two, which creates a bit of a mess. Overall, this is a decent rock album, albeit very much forthcoming with its inspirations.

Social Cues was an album that I took a while to get into, but eventually found an appreciation for. It's a solid listening experience, but its messages tend to get muddy. There are also points where this album slows down to an unbearable point. I remember my first listen of this album, I completely checked out by the middle of the album. The singles are really the highlights, but there are a few diamonds in the rough on this one.

The debut EP by Rusty Cage is an endearing project. It doesn't do anything special, but doesn't sit quietly. It has it's moments and those moments shine above others. I don't think there's a point where the album is truly bad, only unremarkable. Overall a decent debut which has a cool little edgelord aesthetic.
Favourite: Parasomnia
Least Favourite: I Wish I Had A Wish
What can I say? It's a classic. No bad songs. I won't even name favourites on this one. GOAT of the entirety of the rock genre.
Heretics is an album which seems to have that "Underrated Classic in the Artists Discography" title within the fanbase. Personally I don't see that one. I think at best the album is okay. I understand many of the themes of the album, but ultimately many of the songs drag on and on when they do not need to. Do I enjoy the album? Occasionally, but only in the right mood, which is unfortunate because some of these songs would be great if refined a bit.
