With their third album bitknot, feeble little horse shadow drops (literally announced a week b4) a complicated mix of their past records, a little more poppy and electronic this time around. A fun set of short pop songs with a jazzy, lofi veneer. Breaking off from @ for a solo venture, singer-songwriter Stone Filipczak strings together these quaint songs with sticky guitar melodies, wrapped in production that is just as vibrant as it is tastefully prickly. Indie Rock shows there are still great ideas leftover after Revengeseekerz and they are bubbling HOT. This new mixtape offers a searing mix of molten hip hop, rage, and vocal performances that focus more on energy rather than melody more of that time, like with Audiostalker.
Indie Rock certainly feels like a transitional part of Jane’s career, but thankfully, there’s no compromise in quality along the way.
