great debut EP, incredibly strong from front to back. smooth and punctual, clear and consistent throughout the 14 mins or less it reads in. For an EP it is a focal expression of instrumental hip hop and jazz, each part is played almost as its own, with concentrated almost solo parts being shown off from left to right. There are almost elements of footwerk and bedroom pop, a very Jessy Lanza feel with its bright melodies and off kilter chords.
looking forward to future full length projects. ... read more
I wish Kieran would go back to his old beats instead of doing summer house music. Baby is a solid track but old tracks from Love In You etc are wonderfully produced and have such solid percussion. This album felt so bland although you can hear the same talent inside those tracks
This album has definitely grown on me a lot, I wish the production was cleaner but the basis of the songwriting is strong and i hope the next project is more streamlined
