Took 2 weeks to grow on me, from a 20 to 75 this album gets better with time. Not the most innovative, not the best thing to just sit and take in, but a perfect example of great background noise.
This is by far the best rentals record. Also one of the best and most surprisingly amazing releases this year.
This hurts to say but this album is not something I think I’ll be listening to for pleasure anytime soon. Incredibly mediocre aside from a couple good tracks. Unlike Twin Fantasy and Teens of Denial, this album wont make any new car seat headrest fans, it will only disappoint.
This record is decent, once you get past the hype you see lots of hollow and forgettable tracks.
Oddly structured but that’s really all that’s wrong, this single delivers the classic csh sound with an electronic coating of paint over it.
Well my initial thoughts are I’m scared for the new record and what the fuck is this, this song deprives me of the carseat headrest sound so much(and not in a good way) that every time I hear Will’s voice it feels like a reward for having to listen to whatever the fuck Andrew is doing.
One of the easiest listens I can think of at under 40 minutes of pop mixed with hip hop and the concept of a breakup. Easily Tyler’s best record and the best part about it is I doubt it will stay that way.
The most complete chili peppers record to date, barley any filler, masterfully written guitar riffs and Anthony’s vocal shift propelled the boys into a new era and fame.
A familiar theme in more modern chili peppers records is the filler clouding the full album potential given by the truly amazing songs in every record. Here is no exception, contains some of the best chili peppers music to date, and also some of the most forgettable.
Album starts out incredibly strong showcasing the bands incredible versatility and why they’re one of my favorites ever. But after the AMAZING first 6-7 tracks, it really drops off until the equally amazing final track “Venice Queen”.
