I saw this was #1 and wanted to see why, then I saw she died last year. So I checked the album out, great drums, amazing vocals. It kind of is an acquired taste. At points I want to skip, can get very boring with the long songs, but it isn’t bad. Great piece of music for a time where society is modern and terrible, and most of the mainstream music/top music on here is horrible. It can be peaceful, it can be loud, but it’s always good. It’s not bad, just it starts getting ... read more
The critics either won’t listen to this, or think it’s easy to make shit music. Anyone can make this, it just takes skill, just like any critically acclaimed albums. It’s crazy how Vektroid was able to make these short samples into a full song, my favourite songs were the first song and the second song tied with the third song. At first, the album takes you on a nostalgia trip, with music that sounds familiar. It puts you in a deja vu trance, the second song reminds me of ... read more
Could be one of the best (rap) albums of 2023, he doesn’t rely on Lil Wayne on never die, or gimmicks in any songs. They say third time is the charm, I really like the beats especially on the last song. Some songs sound the same, but it’s not a bad thing. The production is immaculate from Hit-Boy, the whole album is a very chill experience. TSK is my favourite song at the moment, along with Speechless Pt 2 and 1-800-Nas&Hit. Great album that released yesterday, I fell asleep ... read more
Showed this song to my buddy whose favourite song is “Barbie Girl” by Aqua, he loved it and we just danced around while listening to it. This song puts people in a trance, and feels like floating on a cloud. Some people know it for a song that samples this song “Cheryl” (a horrible song), but I know it for its beautiful melody and flow along with an ear pleasing instrumental. This song fits well with many things, and I don’t get tired of this. I don’t get ... read more
I like when he just spits out lyrics, over a chill beat that’s simple. It doesn’t try to much, pretty much just a loop. That’s not even a bad thing, not going in too depth in this song, I’m going to give it a fairly high rating. Since there’s not much to go into, and it sounds good, I’ll give it a 8.5/10.
I rate this album a 9/10, the reason it’s not a 10/10 is because most of the songs sound not completely the same but mostly. I can listen to these songs on repeat, they sound good in the night, day and morning. It reminds me of being a child listening to this album, but ignoring nostalgia this album is amazing. You can hear the details, even though some people like Combat Rock more, I like this album more. Not because it has London calling, it’s more because of the songs altogether. ... read more
The transition to songs is amazing, hearing it without the backstory is incredible. The sounds are beautiful, he went from a producer to the biggest artist of all time. Enough meatriding, the album sounds good to my ears and I can listen to it. I don’t really think I would skip any song, and the skits are very funny. It shows his humour, and his songs also show his humour. You still hear about his struggles in Family Business and even the upbeat Through the Wire, it shows the contrast and ... read more
A sad attempt at rock and pop, most tasteless album I’ve ever heard. Sounds like someone who’s heard one pop and rock song and thinks it’s normal, and purposefully wrote the worst lyrics and added the most random details. I won't be too harsh, but I’d say 1/10.
