Dexter Gordon makes a solid Blue Note compilation where you can’t possibly be offended. The album also feels like it flies by, very easy to listen to if you want to start getting into jazz.

Worst: Ernie’s Tune
I love how Paul McCartney tries to make music for different genres, but classical music clearly isn’t his strong suit.
Fav: Calico Skies
Worst: A Leaf
It’s still mid, but feels as if it’s on the way of something better. Just feels a little bit hallow, and missing something that would make it good.
Fav: No Other Baby
Worst: Coquette
It’s such a fun album. Especially when the summer time has basically started, beats like these really hit different. BNYX® really making a better summer album than Metro Boomin lol.
Fav: EVERYWHERE I GO (REMIND ME)
Worst: OVERLOADDD
In the time between when I put in my rating to when I started writing my review, my opinion of this album has changed from a 75->65. I used to think that they all sounded pretty good -> them all having the same flow and repetitive production style where sometimes you can’t hear peggy.

Thank you Z. Younk for the recommendation!
This is my second Here’s Johnny project I’ve heard, and he sure as hell sounds just as good as he used to! I do think the production was a little bit ok on some songs and that Chief Rocks really didn’t have a single memorable line on here. Still pretty good, excited to see what Here’s Johnny does next!
Fav: BUILDING GODZ
Worst: ERADICATE
Paul McCartney breaks the streak of mid albums with a very pleasant “back to the basic” type of album that really shows how sometimes less is more.
Fav: Calico Skies
Worst: Really Love You
Paul McCartney’s streak of mid albums continue on to the 90s!
Fav: C’mon People!
Worst: Biker Like an Icon
It’s kind of hard for artists to get out of a slump of mid albums after making good music for a while, and Paul McCartney is no exception to that in the 80s. I do really like the intro, but that’s it for stuff I care to come back to.
Fav: My Brave Fave
Worst: Motor of Love
It’s alright, I just don’t understand the point of it.

This album sounds a lot better compared to Ant Kelly’s collab with JLM. Only problem: he just doesn’t compliment the glitch hop production at all. DJ Krooked very clearly carried here, as his production really fitted in with the whole matrix glitch hop feel that the cover gives off. Ant Kelly just spits some good bars, but it’s only every now and then. He’s that one rapper who says a bunch of slurs and shit to sound cool, but ... read more
GET OUT THE THERMOMETER, CUZ TS AIN’T COLD ITS HEAT.
Seriously tho, why is this better than Drake’s ICEMAN?! The production has that classic sampling underground feel. His lyrics remind me in a way of Raekwon and Inspectah Deck, and blew me away. Huge surprise here, really thought it would be some type of slop to attract listeners, but nope! We actually making good music!
Fav: Glow Light
Worst: Cheese Cake
Stupid dumb AI bullshit ass coworker DJ Khaled ass rap songs. Pretty sure the title and cover were changed after ICEMAN by Drake released in hopes that some dumbshit wouldn’t read who made the album and listen to theirs. I’m actually not sure if it is AI or not, but the fact that Imm questioning it is enough for me to give it a 0/10.
Fav: none
Worst: all of them
The lyrics, the energy, the production, it’s all so good! Such powerful emotion put into these songs, and the dance sounding production kicks in at the perfect timing to not make it seem like it’s ruining the lyrics are anything like that. My only critique here is that I felt as if the features added nothing and actually made the songs worse imo. I think Genesis could clearly have done their role himself, but it’s not a huge issue. I still think the songs are good, just they ... read more
It has its fun moments, but it does have a lot of boring moments. It’s just overall above mid but not exactly at pretty good territory.
Fav: Search Party!
Worst: Lemonade
I like a handful of tracks on here and basically all the bonus tracks, but there are a lot of mid sprinkled into this album. The listening experience also feels more like a drag when a lot of the songs have similar production which is something that I wouldn’t expect from the same person who made Alternative Trap.
Fav: I Don’t Care…
Worst: Can’t B Trusted
92 minutes of bad production and terrible lyrics.
Fav: Red Rum
Worst: Fuck and Party
Not only does he get cheesier, but almost everything from his previous projects are worse here. This also feels like it drags on way more and is so boring. Really disappointing listen.
Fav: Stranglehold
Worst: Pretty Little Head
Underrated af, Paul goes for a more pop type of approach compared to his earlier works. It honestly does the job fine here, and ofc you know them Michael Jackson features are going to hit in all them right places. Are the lyrics cheesy? Yes, very. But does it ruin the whole listening experience? No, or at least not for me.
Fav: Say Say Say
Worst: Tug Of Peace
Another bad random album generated by the genre my smash bros character selection was based off of. I lost the match as grey Kirby, which looks like a rainy cloud so I chose Cloud Rap as the genre (I realized afterwards I could have just gone Cloud lol).
Yeah, this album sucks. NAV is never an artist that I expect to be good, but at least I expect the bare minimum and him being at least a little bit mid. Metro Boomin had cooked up a trey of hard hitting beats all for NAV to spit some dogshit ... read more
