my first reaction was “is this a new hayley williams song??” but then realized that I know every hayley song and had forgotten i queued this album up, but her voice drew me in and i liked this album a lot more than i thought i would, originally saw it was second to “the record” for the 2023 year end ranking and wanted to listen, and i don’t normally rate albums so high on first listen, so an 87 is really good for me. thanks to my friends too for recommending this ... read more
Honestly had no idea who Gracie was until very recently, and it was just cause i heard "that's so true" on a million reels and tiktoks so I figured, hey why not give it a try. And HOLY I'm shocked I liked her as much as I did, like I listened to the deluxe version of this album exclusively and YES i know it's a basic white girl pop album, but I really really liked it, and the deluxe tracks were arguably like incredible additions to this album, I love it and if you ... read more
very horny, i like it, and at the same time it feels more like passionate and genuine here. i didn’t even know it came out today but im glad i got to listen early on :)
honestly I really didn't think i'd like her going back to country but ITS GOOD
"let's get freaky, get kinky, let's make this bed get squeaky" pretty much sums it up
honestly on first listen i was like “why tf does everyone like this, why is it rated so high and why did it beat punisher on the critic score???” but now that i’ve listened like 10 times i get it, its not better than punisher in my opinion but still a really interesting album and introduced me to the world of fiona apple. probably an unpopular opinion but i liked this a lotttt more than when the pawn, loveee the raw vocals and deep lyrics, feels kinda random at some points ... read more
I was really scared that after I like TSOU so much (I know i like white girl music boo hoo) that she’d fall off or it wouldn’t be something I’d like to listen to… But with how this single sounded, I have hope that I’ll like this album. Also WHY DID THE LYRICS HAVE TO HIT THAT HARD JEEZ
THANK YOU TO MY ART TEACHER for introducing me to Florence, this album didn't disappoint. After listening to Everybody Scream I decided to listen to another Florence album and really liked it, I had heard dog days are over on the radio and liked that too, sucks I didn't listen to this earlier but I'm glad I did, only a few moments where I was just kinda eh on the song.

I thought it was fine, nothing really stuck out to me but decided to listen after a friend recommended Noah Kahan as an artist to me. I was a little disappointed at how much he was hyped but maybe it'll sound better on re-listen. Kinda average which isn't bad but also not good. Can't think of much more to say.
Fav: Great Divide
Least Fav: Headed North
I have no idea why I liked this, but I did, like normally when I put an album on in the background I tune it out, but this time it like sucked me in. I know this is probably another generic pop or alt album but I really liked it. It was a mix of like kinda grungy at times but super beautiful at other points. I listened cause I had die first on my playlist for years and I had never listened to it. I'm happy I did.
Best: Die First
Worst: Lucky Star
I saw this was coming out and was super excited for the kinda creepy vibes and gotta say I enjoyed it, worth the wait.
Just added a bunch of great tracks, a slightly better version of the OG.
Fav: Bigger than the whole sky
Least Fav: Glitch
the fact that neither this nor ego death at a bachelorette party won a grammy is wild. but it was a really decent album, im glad i listened to it. 3 of them are absolute bangers, most are solid, but a couple missed for me. really interesting instruments throughout it and the vocal changes between songs keep you on your toes.
Fav: catch these fists
Least Fav: pond song
This was the first Billie album i listened to and it was really solid! I'm so happy she swept all 4 grammys. But overall, even though this is her weakest album imo, its really solid with the production and hell-ish, ethereal, dream-like sound she was going for in most of her songs. There were a few misses but overall it was good.
Fav: ilomilo
Least Fav: !!!!!!! (or yssmiac)
I thought it was a really solid album, I liked their first album a little more, this album has more repetitive sounding tracks in my opinion. Against the Current was a band that I'm so glad I discovered, probably my top 3 favorites of all time. I really like the airy, light-hearted feeling of this album, its less rock more pop which I don't dislike. Overall a pretty good album.
Favorite: Personal
