I listened to this out of curiosity after hearing one of the singles "Woke up and asked siri how i'm gonna die" which was a great way to get me intrested, because of it's ambient beat produced by my top artist of 2023, JPEGMAFIA, and Billy Woods & E L U C I D rapping about their futures and not knowing what's to come, whilst maintaining an ethereal and mysterious atmosphere. And that is also part of my point that when people talk about Armand Hammer as a duo, or even their solo ... read more
I'm pretty on the edge with this album, because while it does have many highlights, I feel like a lot of the moments are missing an oomph factor that could really get to me. I feel this applies espesially to a song like "NO BYSTANDERS" where we get a catchy hook from Juice wrld, and exellent verses from travis, Sheck Wes' chorus kicks in, and attempts to wrap it up into a club hit, but the instrumental seems to become awfully quiet on the part of the song it should really be hitting ... read more
Rainbow bridge 3 song be like:

It was pretty good.
listened, Am a bit shocked, just know i listened to one song with the intention of only listening to one and i ended up listening to the whole thing, will rate when i've had time.
Edit: I listened again, and I think I know what to say now.
When I was reading some other reviews of this album after I listened for the first time, a point often brought up is an underlying darkness, but I see it moreas the opposite, because on a surface level this record is dark and sad, but the underlying themes ... read more
This is a hard listen for sure, I don't think i've ever heard something this ethereal, yet so intense, and it's been said many times before, but the production is extremely ahead of it's time for an album made in the early 2000's. the first 3 songs are generally a bit shorter than the rest, and bring exellent percussion, and bring in lots of noise elements too which just gets more intense the further you listen. the next 3 songs are mostly interludes that are just ok, and mostly exist to keep ... read more
I asked my swiftie friends what I should listen to first, but what I got didn't leave a very good first impression. I felt one of this album's biggest flaws is it's very dated electropop production, and on some tracks, some very weird, and synthetic autotune that makes her sound like a robot void of emotion, which is sometimes tolerable, usually tacky, but always noticable. Also a flaw is it's very repetitive subject matter, which you might say "hey! That's just what she does, talks about ... read more
I'm confused, like really confused. I have been hearing stuff about this band for about a month now and I just recently decided to check out this album, and the highest points of praise I can give to it is that it constantly throws me in a direction I never expected, like how the song "Still" i feel is the most beautiful, serene song on here, with it's nice jazz instrumentation and strings, transitions (after a 30 sec. interlude) into the behemoth that is "The Race Is About To ... read more
I was a bit skeptical going into this knowing that DOOM was letting others take over production, but low and behold, the production is actually great, eerie, glitchy, and stands toe to toe with his other albums. my other favorite thing about this album is how much personality his Viktor Vaughn puts into his performance, moreso than most of his other albums, as he really sells you on the idea that Viktor is a completely different person. Biggest flaw is the open mic nights, and some of the ... read more
would be higher if the outro wasn't the ultimate test of my fucking patience
On Quaranta, Danny Brown reflects on himself, and the choices he's made since he turned 40, and takes on a more dark, depressing sound than his last solo effort, and i think it pays off greatly, as he takes away his iconic yelpy inflection in his voice for a lot of the songs here, to make the tone more serious, backed up by some eerie production, and great features from the likes of kassa overall, MIKE, and more. Overall, i'd say my biggest issue with the record is tantor, which on it's own is ... read more
interesting. like a lot of people, i listened to this because of the exitement of a new andre 3k album, and i'm probalbly not the best judge for this genre of music, and i found there to be more hits than misses on this album to create a pleasant atomsphere, especially the closer, but i will say that wht he's doing here is not really bringing much new to the field he's creating in, but it's a nice edition nonetheless.
