Incredible beats and production with a great performance from MIKE as always. Great stuff, wish he got more attention.
It grew on me, doesn't mean it's good. The title track and don't let the lights go out are fine and tbh sugar soaker is alright but everything else is just awful squeally garbage that kills my eardrums. Seriously, how did someone hear something about maggie and think, "yeah, we should release this"
Probably the best thing panic has ever made before or since. Wish they continued in this direction as this is really special
I love the part where crypt goes, "I got the stigma of a fast white rapper, cuz im white, and I rap fast" and then goes on too explain how he also raps slow while rapping fast. No, really, great stuff man keep up the good work
It's incredible to me that an album as critically acclaimed, popular, and award winning as DAMN. is only the fourth best in his discography. Enough said.. damn.
I don't know what I could say about the top rated album on this website that hasn't been said. Like seriously, every song on this thing is a masterpiece with it's own little world and details you can't wait to dive into. 100/10
I hate Eminem, but I'm kind of impressed by how much i didn't hate this. Tone Deaf was really the only bad song here and the beats were also really good. While still extremely corny there were a few select times where it did get me bopping my head no matter how brief they were. Although I'd never be caught dead listening to this again it actually kinda works and has some actual bright spots.
Honestly I don't get why everyone praises MMLP when this masterpiece exists. Really great album with no real lows (unlike MMLP) and some of his best tracks.
Best: Guilty Conscience, '97 Bonnie & Clyde, Still Don't Give A Fuck, My Name Is, Brain Damage, Bad Meets Evil, Just Don't Give A Fuck, Rock Bottom, Role Model
Some of his best work, probably my favorite production from a DOOM record excluding Madvillainy. Nothing else to say it's just a really spectacular album with dare I say his greatest writing and storytelling on par with some of his best like MM... FOOD and Born Like This.
Favorites: Saliva, Can I Watch, Lickupon, The Drop, Mr. Clean, Vaudeville Villian, A Modern Day Mugging, Lactose and Lecithin
Pretty underrated in his discography. It doubles as an amazing greatest hits collection and some of his most personal, emotional and well written tracks too date. Lot of bangers and deep cuts on this one, really overlooked imo.
Favorites: Stranger In Moscow, Earth Song, Money, You Are Not Alone, Scream, Tabloid Junkie, They Don't Care About Us, Childhood, Smile
Least Favorites: I don't really have any, however the only thing about this album that bothers me is how inconsistent the production ... read more
With an admittedly amazing first half with some of the best gorillaz songs I've ever heard, this album is front loaded to hell with an incredibly boring and forgettable back half of tracks that just reuse the same boring, slow, snooze-worthy musical ideas over and over again. Not on a single other Gorillaz project have i ever wanted to skip more of the album than this, although I fall asleep before I even get the chance. However, there is a light at the end of the tunnel with the last track ... read more
An amazing return to form with some of there best work in years.
Favorites: Momentary Bliss, Pac-Man, Pink Phantom, Désolé, The Valley of The Pagans, Aries
Least Favorites: I wouldn't say there's a single bad song here in the base tracklist, but for the deluxe edition... yeah i pretty much dislike every song here (except for MLS with that great JPEGMAFIA feature).
It's pretty good, but really disappointing by gorillaz standards especially with how much i loved there last album.
Literally just Tom Macdonald but with even worse delivery, (if that's possible) more meaningless lyrics, and less racism.
