Hmm either Drake is just not for me or I listened to this in the wrong mood. Honestly felt like this was just a lot of alright songs and one good song in “too much” and one great song in “Hold on, we’re going home”. The other songs just felt pretty meh to me
Early islandic jazz album by Björk that is pretty good but some songs straight up just sounds like islandic jazz covers of nursery rhymes. This album does have a islandic cover of “Sway” which is neat I guess
This is great as a concept album but if I am being honest I will probably not revisit the songs on here though. I understood this album as the life of Indians and how they got invaded and overtime eradicated. The internet says that its about life from birth all the way to post death, but hey music and stuff
This is so beautiful, I feel like I’m both floating in the ocean and the sky at once
REVIEW #200
Wowzers 200th review special right here. I have waited with listening and reviewing this album for quite some time since I wanted it to be my 200th review, why you might ask? Because I saw a lot of tiktoks of people talking its praise so it must be good right? (spoiler alert: it is quite good). So now after 3 listens I have landed on a rating of 94, which is higher than the original 90 I was going to give it after my first 2 listens. Let us talk about the tracks now, the album ... read more
Wow. This album feels like a roadtrip through a country but at the same time like a roadtrip through emotions. Music can be quite powerful not gonna lie.
This album has a lot personality and the harmonica only made it even more personal with some pretty personal lyrics on top of that the album ends up being quite a beautiful story telling album. With that being said, I am not rating it higher because it was a bit stale at points in my opinion. That might just be my opinion though.
Definetly enjoyed this one more than the other one FKA twigs album I have reviewed (LP1) but the album was a bit of a rollercoaster of enjoyment with some songs definetly more enjoyable than others. Still a great album which makes you feel like you are entering some sort of trance.
I did not think this was bad just not my type of music so I was quite surprised when I found out that the band are the ones behind several good songs and I can also see that this album is the dark sheep when it comes to peoples enjoyment of their albums. Might have to give one of their "better" albums a listen at a point.
I am a bit sad not gonna lie, I was very excited about this album and now that I have finally gave it the time it deserved I am disappointed. Yes the music might be haunting and depressing like other music that I do really enjoy, this album just did not hit the same way. Through out the whole album I was waiting for her to sing, because I love the way her singing usually sounds in her depressive music. Sadly it never really happened and I ended up being quite let down.
I had high high hopes for this and even more so for a song named drunk shark and I have to say.... I am sadly very disappointed. I think it might be because I was expecting another great piece of media from Yuno Miles but sadly this is not that. This might just be noises that could be categorized as self harm to listen to...
I might lowkey be a Tatey, Mcraey, Tatey mcraey or whatever she calls her fans because this shit is pretty Bussin or whatever a Tatey Mcraey would say
Noises in my head Noises in my headphones Noises weeeeeewoooooooo but these noises will be forgotten
Saturday and Sunday comes together here to form an album which is honestly enjoyable from start to finish. Quite a few of the songs blend together but it does so in a seemless way where it makes the experience of listening to the whole thing in one sitting pretty nice. Throughout the album I also find myself thinking "this song might not become the next big The Weeknd hit but it is still good" and I think that might be what I liked the most honestly. I did not really get the feeling ... read more
