perceived by many as the final boss of rock music, Trout Mask Replica needs no introduction. I don't fully get it yet but I surprisingly enjoyed it
I think MY Trout Mask Replica was Tago Mago by Can (an album that I absolutely hated on first listen and completely changed the way I perceive music) so this wasnt AS shocking as it could've been, definitely looking forward to listening to more of this
i just thought of an incredibly original joke with the title of this album
such a pleasant surprise, i didnt listen to the singles and expected this to be just pop rock slop but there's a lot of lush instumentation and Paul does a great mixture of genres while showcasing his new melodies that hark back to his past works, both solo and with the beatles
one of his most intimate and introspective works, which is not something I would expect based on the title and the cover. the title-track is one of his best songs for sure, I also really enjoyed the Desolation Row-esque closer
