perceived by many as the final boss of rock music, Trout Mask Replica needs no introduction. I don't fully get it yet but I surprisingly enjoyed it

I think MY Trout Mask Replica was Tago Mago by Can (an album that I absolutely hated on first listen and completely changed the way I perceive music) so this wasnt AS shocking as it could've been, definitely looking forward to listening to more of this

Animal Collective - Sung Tongs

i just thought of an incredibly original joke with the title of this album

LCD Soundsystem - Sound of Silver

the coolest dance music has sounded ever since Talking Heads

Paul McCartney - The Boys of Dungeon Lane

such a pleasant surprise, i didnt listen to the singles and expected this to be just pop rock slop but there's a lot of lush instumentation and Paul does a great mixture of genres while showcasing his new melodies that hark back to his past works, both solo and with the beatles

Neil Young - On the Beach

one of his most intimate and introspective works, which is not something I would expect based on the title and the cover. the title-track is one of his best songs for sure, I also really enjoyed the Desolation Row-esque closer
