It's impossible to deny the impact BRAT has had on pop culture. This album was everywhere for a very long time and single handedly propelled Charli into the mainstream. I used to be mixed on this album; my rating of BRAT has fluctuated between a 5 and 9 ever since I've listened to it. But, listening to this again with an open mind has shown that I fall somewhere in the middle.

This is genuinely a one of a kind album. I've never heard anything that balances mechanical, electronic sounds and textures with electric guitars and alt rock attitudes in the way this album does. Its liminal and futuristic aesthetic isn't unlike anything else in the genre, but the way Sweet Trip portrays it is what makes it unique. There is immense beauty and life to be found here.
