I tried giving this a fair shot as I remember really enjoying the project back in my Will Wood phase but now that I relisten to it, I cant help but feel bad as a few beautiful tracks that make me somehow find comfort towards the idea of an inevitable doom are surrounded by some of the most irritating songs that fail so hard at being artsy (looking at you Mind Electric, genuinely what were you thinking) and fall apart on themselves, so many times finding myself believing a ... read more

Offensively unoffensive.

In my first listen i didnt hate it, i thought it was pretty decent but after listening to White Light from the Mouth of Infinity, i understand why both the community (and Michael himself) hate this project. It doesnt sound like Swans, its just this easy to consume, middle of the road hippie-esque album that feels like it was intentionally made to be as different as possible from early Swans, the only constant being Michaels vocals.
