Putting aside nostalgia, this album is full of exceptional ambient music. The synths blend amazingly to form a lush retro sound that is a staple to many people’s childhood. I’ve tried to rate the tracks through an unbiased lens, but it is sometimes impossible to ignore a nostalgic factor for some tracks, like Mice On Venus, which I couldn’t give anything less than a ten. An amazing and extremely recognizable soundtrack that creates the perfect atmosphere to set the tone for ... read more
An amazing minimalist jazz project. De Todas las Flores is beautifully made and excellent when it has full, lush instrumentation, but also when it pull that back and is more quiet and subtle. Some songs drag on a bit for me, but this is a great project.
Another great album from CupcakKe. Her work continues to be frustratingly overlooked due to her raunchy lyrics, which is unfortunate because her technical skill as a rapper and writer is one of the best in the industry. Not only that, but no one else could pull off songs like UFO or One of My Bedbugs other than CupcakKe, let alone write them completely solo. That being said, compared to her last album, I think that it hits higher highs, but has a few songs that are a bit weaker that make it ... read more
Music sounds like a rushed project, despite there being a five year wait between this mess and his previous record. This project is unnecessarily long for how uninspired the beats and limited lyrical content are. Most of the songs feel so underdeveloped and short that they are directionless. The album never attempts to be much more than "I fuck girls, I make a lot of money and I do drugs." I'm not a fan of Carti's screaming delivery on some of the tracks at all and when he ... read more
This is just straight garbage. Some of the people rating this are so blind by nostalgia they can’t see this is not a good album. I enjoyed two songs and the rest were near unlistenable. I hate Fergie’s voice and the others aren’t great either. It’s like they made 2-3 hit songs and then threw a bunch of unfinished and sloppy tracks with them on an album. This band pisses me off.
A pretty good album with very interesting production. This album struggles from lack of cohesion, but it was still solid. Overall, a very unique project that shows off Stromae’s talents.
Samara’s voice throughout this project is amazing. While the lyrics could better, the production and vocal performance sell this album for me. A solid album overall.
An interesting album cover for an album with some interesting ideas that don’t really do anything for me. The production mostly fine, with some parts that were too abrasive for me. My biggest gripe is the vocals which are straight up unenjoyable at times. Some good highlights, but struggles to be a project I could like all the way though, which isn’t great considering it’s very short runtime.
The two singles that came before this album were extremely promising and, although it didn’t quite match that quality, I still found this an enjoyable listen. There were defiantly some points where I got disinterested, but there are a handful of bangers that make Megan’s self titled project a decent project.
This is so overhated. Kesha sounds like her old self again with her newfound freedom from her previous record deal. At its worst it's just kind of basic and repetitive. I don't get the extreme hate for Yippee-Ki-Yay. It's not the best, but it's not a unlistenable song. Overall, its a solid project from Kesha, who's finally making the music she wants.
Ephorize feels like CupcakKe everything that has made her unique and fine tuned it and the product is amazing. Her delivery is better than ever and she addresses a variety of topics with no filter. Her lyrics and one liners are also better than anything she has released previously. Overall, an extremely solid project from CupcakKe.
A big improvement over her debut. The production is much better and overall more consistent. This album isn’t 38 minutes of CPR; she actually addresses a variety of different topics here. Her bars are crazy, and her performance is unmistakably CupcakKe.
CupcakKe is genuinely on of the most talented and clever rappers ever. Definitely the funniest album I have ever listened to. She's the only one who can rap about pussy farting and pissing down someone's throat while simultaneously being so witty and catchy. Her personality and bars on this album are unmatched. This is also CupcakKe's most consistent production yet. Every beat feels unique and her versatility across all the album is amazing. In comparison, Dauntless Manifesto has ... read more
You people are really going to have me defending Alex Warren huh... Well, stating the obvious, this is not good, in fact, it's bad. However, it is not as bad as the user reviews would have you believe. To me, something that scores below a 30 has to be something truly unlistenable, and this isn't that. The lyrics aren't good, it's repetitive, and the album is long and drags on, but it isn't offensively bad. I would obviously never want to listen to this or say that it is ... read more
Definitely Billie's best project yet. Her previous record, Happier Than Ever, suffered from being a little bit bloated, but this record is very concise and focused. The quality is pretty consistent throughout the tracks, however the eight and ninth tracks weren't standouts in my opinion and drag the score a down, especially considering there's only ten songs. Other than that, however, this is Billie at her best. The lyrical depth and pristine production make this a boundary ... read more
This is even worse than Vultures 1, which is just an incredible feat to accomplish considering how poor that record was. This is the most low effort, unsubstantial, and unlistenable things I have ever had to endure. This is nothing more than a ploy for money. Everyone involved in this record has zero integrity. The choice to associate yourself with this slop, especially after all of the antisemetic rhetoric and imagery that surrounded its predecessor is truly disgusting. At this point, they are ... read more
Vultures 1 is a sloppy, poorly mixed, and painfully uninspired record that highlights just how far Kanye has fallen as an artist. For someone once celebrated for top tier sound design, the level of carelessness that went into this record is abysmal. Just noise without depth or meaning. This is without even mentioning the antisemitism that will forever plague Kanye's work. But separating the artist from the art does no good here because the music is trash. The refusal to discuss the ... read more
