Bad Bunny - DeBÍ TiRAR MáS FOToS
100

On the advent of his 7th album, DeBí TiRaR MáS FOToS, Bad Bunny was in a less than favourable position. Still relatively hot off the undeniable mega smash that was Un Verano Sin Ti from a few years prior, but still fresh off the heels of its follow up, nadie sabe lo que va a pasar mañana, an embrace of more contemporary western sounds that, both commercially and critically, was a quite of letdown when compared to the towering achievements of Un Verano Sin Ti. This is like a case study to prove the negative impact Brat Summer has had on our greater society. Some people think they can also do that EDM thing and be just like Charli XCX, and Lucy Lamb REALLY wants to be Charli XCX. She’s this close to figuring out what Hyperpop is too and that makes it even more painful

COME CLOSER is the debut of TOMORA, a supergroup between Indie-Pop’s AURORA and Tom Rowlands of Electronic duo The Chemical Brothers. My familiarity with both artists is very sparce. The Beatles, 1D, BTS, you see it happen with all the big names, and LOONA has been no different. In particular Yves has been the one I’m most intrigued by, given she’s pretty solidly the breakout star of the group, and the one most actively releasing music, with this EP of hers, NAIL, being her most recent release.

And for this ... read more

Hades is Melanie Martinez’ latest album. Melanie is an artist I’ve been admittedly very averse to. Even before I was familiar with her music and the stigma around it, I was already vaguely aware of status as a controversial figure, and that mixed with my knowledge or her deranged, to put it lightly, fandom just turned me off of her for a while. But I saw this was an upcoming release, so I decided to finally bite the bullet and give her a shot.

This is such a /weird/ album. Not in ... read more

You can’t cry to Frank Ocean and IGOR and then be transphobic, that’s not how this works.
