This album has unbridled aggression and it's so gruesome and brutal, I honestly didn't expect anything like this. The drums sound like fucking gun shots, it's so good, the guitar has a squealy and piercing sound to it, the bass is so low that you can hear it clicking and clacking. Ahhhh, Slayer. Probably the least interesting band out of the Big 4. Mainly because most of their music sounds exactly the same. I'm not a big fan of Slayer, the songs on this album kinda blend into each other and I forget which one is which. So yeah, it's pretty okay thrash, but it's not very interesting. I'd say it's still worth checking out because it's a classic.

Opeth is one of my favorite metal bands ever, and it is because of this album. The riffs on this album are amazing, the lyrics are also amazing. I can't criticize this album in any way because it doesn't have many flaws.
It's just so amazing and I consider it to be one of the best metal albums ever made (I feel this way with most of Opeth's discog, so don't expect many bad reviews).
