Review #21
Forever Howlong is a massive difference sonically compared to BCNRs. Maybe "massive" is an exaggeration but the change from more post-rock sounds to Art Pop / Art Rock is something I really like. This reminds me a lot more of The Last Dinner Party then anything else from BCNR. I really enjoy the female vocalist, I don't know if I prefer the male or female vocalist but I think that they work well for the projects that they're on. This album wouldn't have ... read more

Honestly, this album is overrated. I don't get all the hype around the vast majority of this project. The highest rated tracks like Bombs Over Baghdad and Ms. Jackson are both amazing but not what they're held up to be. Some of the production is just boring to me and there are too many interludes. The fact that ? is one of my favorites off here while being only one and a half minutes I feel shows that this album is not for me. Probably won't come back to this as an ... read more

I haven't cried to music before. This project is the closest I've come to doing so and the only reason I didn't is because I honestly struggle to cry. Sonically this album sounds upbeat and like just regular relaxing shoegaze but digging deeper ... read more

Process by Sampha is a UK, Art Pop, R&B album. Sampha's vocals are absolutely beautiful across this whole project and the production is heavenly. It's hard to say that I'd come back to it on a normal day because the atmosphere makes me feel tired (in a good way of course). Though almost all of the songs are great. The only track I didn't enjoy that much was Under and it's because of the Intro and Outro. Sampha was my first introduction into the UK ... read more

I've already written my review for the original Wallsocket this is just talking more about how I feel about the project as a whole this is mainly focused on talking about how I feel with the additional tracks. This Directors Cut just adds four more to this already near-perfect album. My guy is a banger and there's honestly not too much else about it to say. Northwest zombie girl is also difficult for me to understand specifically what is going on but from what I know its ... read more

Wallsocket by underscores is an album that I have been severely underrating since before this. I had this as a 9/10 when I was just rating on the 0-10 scale but now coming back and rating every album individually and relistening to this I've realized how amazing it really is. From the outside it's filled with a lot of songs that are just bangers like Cops and robbers, Locals, Johhny johhny johhny, Old money bitch, and Geez louise, but once you dig deeper and look into the ... read more

This project feels kinda inconsistent. There are a few really enjoyable tracks but a couple that aren't as good or just feel almost like a nothing burger. Ski is a great lyricist and I love all the references and how unserious his bars are, but some of the choruses aren't very good, especially on Get Geeked. I think that if Ski wanted to he could definitely make a more curated project that could have potential to be 8.0+ but has yet to do so. I do really hope he decides to ... read more

This album is genuinely my favorite album of all time. I didn't know I could have such a strong emotional connection to music before hearing this. First off based on the genre's name "noise-pop" I feel like this album perfectly encapsulates what you might think of when hearing that name without the context of what the genres sound is. Everything about this project is filled with emotion from the vocals, the lyricism, to even the ... read more

This album definitely has a really interesting atmosphere. Nothing I could really describe. Though there were 2 AMAZING songs on this project being Feedbacker, Pt. 2 - 3 a lot of this album just didn't do it for me. The first song was kind of a nothing burger and the fourth song was just not really enjoyable in my opinion. I still think its definitely a good album but it's not something I would ever really want to come back to.

My rating for this album has literally not changed at all since I first listened. Moreru is definitely a really interesting band but I somehow found myself really liking their music. I relistened to this with a headache which was also pretty awesome. I first found Moreru through seeing STOMACH BOOK featured on an album and was met with ear-piercing screams first thing in the morning but I ended up listening to all four of their albums that same day. Moreru is definitely something I ... read more

This album is fucking awesome. I love the production throughout this and there wasn't a single song that wasn't a net positive. Nothing about this project wasn't enjoyable. Going from listening to one of the most overrated hip hop albums of all time with terrible lyricism and boring beats to something that is as exciting and energetic as this with some hilarious lyricism is kinda crazy. There are so many references to different things in this album and so many of these ... read more

I really don't understand what people could possibly see in this record. In most of the songs it's just him saying mediocrely rapping about hating gay people, killing people, doing drugs, rape, school shootings, how people hate him, and about how you should kiss his ass. Listening to this made me realize that I don't think Eminem was ever really a good rapper. I really don't understand how such a beautiful and well written song like Stan is on an album as mediocre ... read more

This is an absolute depressive masterpiece. I can't put into words the atmosphere this album supplies the listener with, it's just calming, and comforting while also being depressing. I genuinely don't have words for this project please just give it a listen and I hope you might be able to love it too. Also, I feel like I have to mention that I have a few tracks I didn't actually rate and I don't know for a fact if they're interludes they just feel sort ... read more

Flower Boy is the Tyler album that I used to show the least appreciation for. I desperately was in need of giving this project a conscious relisten. It's definitely grown on me a lot since then. I remember liking individual tracks a lot previously but never had appreciated it as a full project. There was even a time where I was saying it was my least favorite Tyler album which was absurd considering Goblin and Bastard exist. Though now after relistening I can definitely say its ... read more

LIVE.LOVE.A$AP is definitely an album I've been wanting to revisit since DBD dropped. Originally, I hadn't thought too highly of this album. There weren't any songs I was crazy for or even liked very much, but after enjoying DBD I knew I had to come back. There are definitely some issues with this Mixtape. It has a consistent sound but the actual quality and amount of enjoyment I get from each track is pretty inconsistent. There are some amazing tracks like Trilla and ... read more
