For no reason in particular, I wanted to write a special and extended review dedicated to one of my favorite pieces of not just music, but art. "Deathconsciousness" is an album that has become incredibly important to me ever since I gave it a first listen back in September. This, Lift Yr. Skinny Fists Like Antennas To Heaven and Soundtracks For The Blind are my favorite albums of all time, and for two completely different reasons. This EP is the reason chuds exist because nothing ever happens in it
I mean I think Interview D is good, but the rest of these songs are mediocre if not just straight up bad (Interview E). In fact, interview E is, in my opinion, Death Grips' ONLY bad song. They have other songs which are just mid, but Interview E is the biggest nothing burger this band has ever made.
Death Grips without MC RIde is like that "Gimme a cheese with nothing" ad
Death Grips is NOTHING without the funny screaming guy 😡

No song here falls into mediocrity, but at the same time, you also have songs like Death Grips Is Online, which is EASILY one of Death Grips' best songs, and one of their best ... read more
I'm kinda surprised so many people think this is the best DG album. I mean yeah, it has many of their best songs. Sonically too, it stands out well from their other albums, and sounds great. Even in terms of lyrical complexity, this is yet another album where you could spend hours analyzing the lyrics. But I just feel as if conceptually, and thematically, this album doesn't offer as much as something like The Money Store, or even other albums by them, which didn't have a coherent ... read more
