I called it, this is perfection.
I don’t even know how to describe this album. It feels so different, I’ve never heard anything like it. Sure, glitch pop artists make similar kinds of sounds, but body meat takes the genre to its extreme. The way his voice flows over these soundscapes is just so right. The attention to detail in every part of this album can’t be understated either. Everything about this project is amazing. Pushing boundaries like this takes so much dedication, ... read more
Now THIS is real female rage music.
This is how you really vent. Fuck going to a therapist, just get on a track and talk your shit.
Alex g makes music that indie guys hate, yet the general public loves. Truly, a dynamic man.
But yeah, this is just a nice folk record with not much going on, like most of his other records, but with this installment I came out wayyy more positive than negative. I like the direction he pulls this in, very open to new ideas and not stale like his other albums. He makes sure to give attention to each track, building them up to actually mean something in the grand scheme of it. Even at its ... read more
Yo what the fuck I’m actually gonna cry ๐ญ๐ญ
Xiu xiu is so peak i’m so happy to be alive in this glorious year for music.
Like yeah the world is turning to shit, but xiu xiu man!!!!!!
I like the drill song more than the beautiful shoegaze ballad, someone put me out of my misery ๐ญ๐ญ
gee willikers, the lizard band put out their millionth album!
This is so crazy, because wow it’s so good?!?!
Who could’ve guessed.
This man is genuinely insane with these beats, like I cant think of a drill beat that's hit so hard before.
Every single song is a bop, no filler whatsoever. I cant sum up my thoughts all too well, because this thing is really simple when you get down to it. There's nothing too crazy going on here, but at the same time you cant help but be enchanted by it. I love the direction iglooghost went on this album, and hopefully he continues to make even more like this one.
I’m repping as the only poc Peggy fan out here ๐ญ๐ญ๐ญ
Peggy heard end credits and said, “yeah let’s do this again but a million times harder.” This album is him embracing rock,(and apparently folk), something I never expected from him. I mean, he literally has a song called Rock n roll is dead. But what he does here is step out of his comfort zone. From the first 2 singles you could immediately hear it, from the guitar solo in don’t rely on other men, to the ... read more
This is the album I knew they could make. Not a bloated shoegaze album, not a quaint one either, and definitely not bland. This is their best album hands down, and I love that I got to see them evolve and get to this point.
This is just pure magic the whole way through, no doubt. It’s so beautiful and spacey, yet it feels so much more substantial than your average shoegaze album. It’s glittery with heavy undertones that bind the whole thing together. The care put into this is ... read more
Good sleeping music, surprisingly.
It’s also peak, but it can really put a guy to sleep (in a good way). I can’t add anything that hasn’t been said lol, just listen to it if you haven’t.
vote me for president, I’ll ban tool fans from online discussions.
Went from crying to laughing to getting introspective to literally a million other things :D
No but this a serious emotional rollercoaster, in the best way ever. Covering a wide arrange of topics and feelings is this albums main thing, and it pulls it off wonderfully. I always liked porters vocals and how he sung in a really “satisfying” way, so them being more in the forefront this time is really awesome. The production is amazing, but that’s just expected with any Porter ... read more
Yall are crazy, this is awesome as hell.
i guess... only true fans get it.... :3
Nothing crazy, but it has a really nice vibe. Also wish it was a bit longer, even an extra 30 seconds could’ve bumped it up. But still, even if it’s shorter it still sounds good.
They never miss.
The National have officially become one of my favorite bands of all time. This album, like all their others, weaves together sounds that enchant and hypnotize. Sleep Well Beast is the National after so many years of being artists. This, in my opinion, is the creative peak. I do like Trouble will find Me more, but this is still them doing things that can't be replicated. This is still them pushing the boundaries of their sound. Even doing something as small as adding more ... read more
