The only opium member I really enjoy just dropped an album?!?!?! How do I feel?!?!?!? It’s pretty good?!?!?!
I liked Ken’s previous album and this is just more of that, so where can I go wrong here? Same vibes, some flows, same feelings, everything just kinda fits the mold of a good Ken project. Now, does it suffer from a bit of bloat? Kinda, if it was 10-15 mins shorter It’d be even better imo, but as it stands it’s still not an atrocious length. It all starts to ... read more
I don’t understand this band at allllll. Like one bit. And it’s amazing. They’re so fascinating to me, cuz it’s so interesting to listen to their music and see what the hell they're even trying to do. Take me to Eden was the definition of mid, but it somehow grabbed me with just how odd it really is. Sleep token trying to combine all these different genres is genuinely kinda cool, but at the same time never really pans out well. They have this kinda plasticky feel ... read more
Excited for their future stuff, cuz these tracks were really good.
This machine really is a girl, huh? π€
This is really chaotic and loud, but it’s not annoying. It’s like being pummeled by a bunch of hammers in the best way possible. All these crazy ideas and noises come together on each song, making them super creative and engaging. The production is insane of course, and the vocals bring an energy that can captivate anyone. My one little nitpick though, is that some of these songs don’t have the best structure. None of them are bad of ... read more
Hope this doesn’t go under the radar, I’d hate to see people missing out on such an awesome project.
With a great mix of indie pop and alternative r&b, the record goes at 100% the whole time, never holding back the talent involved. Malcolm makes this project whole, his soulful voice and full presence on all the songs make them feel warm and inviting. Lyrically it’s not too crazy, but it fits in well with what he’s going for anyway. What this album does best though, ... read more
falls off a bit by the end, but it’s still really good.
he wunders on my horse till I midas?!?!?! π€€π€€π€€
Wow, kinda experimental k-pop? Sounds great too, awesome.
Yeah didn’t know what to expect outta this one, but I was pleasantly surprised with how good it turned out to be. The experimentation here isn't anything crazy, but it adds enough to keep you engaged and wanting to see what they do next. Vocals are really good, all of them sound fantastic and full of energy. The production is also a highlight, brining out the full extent of the songs catchiness and bold sounds. The only song ... read more
who knew pixilated anime girls could scream that good?!?!?!
Soooooo much potential, one of the shining new bands to look out for in the future.
Definitely putting stock in these guys.
Didn’t expect this to be THAT good, but here I am. Wow.
Every phase of this song has something to offer, and the way they’re stitched together keeps it moving in a great way. Amazing flows, high energy, engaging production, it has everything and executes it beautifully. Truly, a unique experience.
A fleeting feeling, one you can’t really grasp all the way, but still linger in all the same. A feeling of unexplainable joy mixed with sorrow, constant and unmoving. It’s so prevalent here, in each little crack and crevice. Everywhere you turn, everywhere you could ever be, everywhere you can feel something, it’s right there. Inescapable, but you don’t mind. Because here in this place, it’s warm and doesn’t judge. Almost like a house, but not quite. It holds ... read more
Dark art rock that feels like a journey through miles and miles of forest. The sound of this is almost suppressive, like you’re drowning in pure molasses the whole time. Or like all your senses are somehow out of tune. But it’s not an uncomfortable sensation at all, it’s more relaxing than anything. This album lulls you into it, and by the time it’s over, you haven’t even realized that 40 minutes just passed.
“LOWER” is heartfelt, hypnotic, and ... read more
Dude this is awesome, they’re so unique and always deliver something worthwhile.
So hyped for the album π
First Ichiko Aoba album! It was very good!
Yeah, not much to say here that others haven’t. Lush, enchanting, pure beauty. It does start to blend a bit by the end, but even so, the sound is so incredible that it doesn’t really matter that much. Everything here holds a purpose, and with the shorter runtime, all these songs have their chance to shine. It’s truly amazing.
Can’t wait to dig into her discog.
Y’all are wrong on this one, HEAVY.
Honestly, my favorite project from them. Insanely catchy, amazing lyrics, and never boring. I don’t get why people don’t like this, cuz it’s essentially what they’ve been making for all their other projects π
But yeah, super duper good album here π£οΈ
