pretty good album, but i'm still waiting on jordan ward to actually impress me, i feel he has it in him.
I liked this way more than I expected, any time he attempts to sing or step outside of rapping it falls completely flat, but Dababy can still flow solidly, even if the lyrics are very redundant
π The production puts me into a trance but these vocals are stinkyyy
ποΈ playboi carti's self titled mixtape has definitely been a grower for me.
incredibly repetitive, hedonistic, and substenceless music is not what i usually gravitate towards, so it's taken me quite a while to fully grasp this mixtape and appreciate it, and so now i come as a changed man to say this mixtape isn't bad, at all.
most credit needs to be given to the production; it's consistently good throughout the tape, with occasional production highlights such as ... read more
welcome to another installment of 'this record would've never been as widely acclaimed as it is if it wasn't for its album cover"
βοΈ very solid batch of tuneful country songs with a lot of potential, but it all ends too soon and abruptly that I struggle to engage with them too deeply.
βοΈ never heard of cavetown, but I’m a sucker for Porter Robinson esc electronic rock so I enjoyed this one quite a bit
π³ I keep trying to convince myself i don't love this album as much as i do, it's not anywhere near a critical darling, and the general user base doesn't adore this album either.
but i do, and even if the fall off dissapoints, i know i got j. cole's greatest album right here.
π Locket is definitely my biggest surprise of 2026 so far, coming off of that incredibly lackluster kid laroi album my expectations were set super low for mainstream pop releases, but this is pretty good!
π« i thought this album would dissapoint me, but i actually fw it heavy. well done rocky
π a solid collection of fun and somewhat wistful kpop tracks.
if you dislike this one you're MISERABLE (somewhat joking)
π It isn’t innovative, the writing isn’t anything special, and despite its lack of substance, I still like it.
The production is high quality, the delivery is passionate, and even if it doesn’t say much, it’s a nice and enjoyable listen
that last track tho... might be my favorite song of the year so far, excellent stuff
ποΈ The deadpan delivery and the quirky monotone humor gets old quick, There’s splashes of a cohesive song forming at certain points but those crash down immediately. The instrumentation is solid and it’s pretty much the album’s biggest saving grace.
ποΈ I really really don’t get the hype. the production is loud just to be maximalist, the writing is the most faux deep shit I've ever heard, and their singing… the way this guy ends every line with the same inflection pisses me off so much bru. Most of this isn’t laughably bad though, it is passable if you listen to it zoned out just to take in the sounds, and the production isn't bad at all.
ποΈ im honestly impressed by how many boring ideas this guy managed to come up with to stretch into an 80-minute album. i don't wanna be one of those poeple who hates on country for its lack of substance but... come on. allllot of this is background music.
ποΈ i knew brazillians were good at soccer but DAMN they're even better at music
π a few enjoyable tracks on the kid laroi's previous album had me anticipating this to be a fairly quality release, and i'm dissapointed to say this album is only as good as it's predecessor, which isn't that high of a standard at all.
