A delightful record that's full of surprises, left me wanting more. Came in expecting another Japanese psychedelic album and it turned out to be one of the most inspiring projects I've heard recently! A great recommendation from a dear friend.
Took a bit of time before this grew on me, but I'm glad it did. I live for this kind of quirky, fun indie pop, creatively produced to perfectly match Caroline's unique vocals.
This new Jessie Ware project is the groovy, euphoric disco we've come to expect, but it won't be topping the fantastic What's Your Pleasure? for me anytime soon.
This simultaneously sounds impressively ahead of it's time AND very much like a product of it's time, all at once.
